Lisa Lay Puster

After high school, I attended NRCC for a year, moved to Richmond and attended John Tyler CC for a year, then transferred to VCU and majored in Mass Comm. In 1989, I met my husband, Dean. We married in 1992. I worked at Time-Life in Richmond for 5 years. Then we moved to Tampa, FL in 1997 with Dean's job. I transferred to Time, Inc in Tampa for a year and then got a job in customer service management at Capital One in Tampa and worked there until the birth of our daughter, Meredith, in October 1999. In 2000, we moved back to Richmond. Our youngest daughter Morgan was born in February 2003. I began freelance writing for the publisher of 5 Richmond area magazines in 2005, then became Assistant Editor and, later, Editor. My husband works as a IT Project Manager and my daughters are now getting ready to go into 4th grade and 1st grade. We live in the Midlothian area of Richmond but would love to move back to Tampa one day!

If I could do high school over, I'd do things so differently! I'd do better in school, party less, date nicer people, and be an overall better person! I guess it's true that you live and learn! :)

Funny stories: I remember using my dinner money that my mom gave me on Friday nights to buy beer and only having enough money left over to buy small French fries at Hardee's. Beer and French fries were my Friday night dinner pretty much every week!
