Dear fellow Christiansburg High School 1990 graduates, No, your eyes are not deceiving you. It is time for our twenty year class reunion! Can you believe it? We have had an overwhelming response from our initial contacts and we are looking forward to a huge turn-out. We hope our class web site will be successful in finding people near and far. However, please keep spreading the word. If you have not already visited our site, the address is: www.cburg90.com. If you have visited and registered on the site, please go back and click on the “Missing Classmates” link located on the left side of the screen. We need everyone’s help in locating those who have not yet registered.
The committee has taken every effort to keep costs down but also create a worthy, memorable event. The fee for the weekend is $50.00 per person or $100.00 per couple. If you plan to ONLY attend the Family Day on Saturday, there is a $10.00 fee. In order for the committee to prepare properly for the events, the deadline for payment is July 2, 2010. Because of the economic stress our country is under, a monetary grant is already in place for any person that may not be able to afford this cost right now. Please indicate on the registration form if you feel you may need this confidential donation.
The plan for our reunion weekend are as follows:
Friday, July 30th will begin our festivities with a social at the Christiansburg Fire Department. This will be a very casual, “break the ice” party with a D.J. and dancing. It will begin at 7:00 pm. We will provide some light refreshments and set-ups for drinks, but BYOB. Feel free to bring a snack to share if you can.
Saturday, July 31st will feature two events. Saturday morning will be Family Day at Christiansburg High School. Family Day will be from 11:00 am- 2:00pm. We will have tents set up on the field near the tennis courts. There will be activities for the children as well as food and soft drinks provided. In case you would like to reminisce in the halls, we have arranged a scheduled school tour. For security and safety reasons, the school will only be open to us for a specific time period to be announced at a later date. The tour will be guided by some of our past teachers. Please bring your family, lawn chairs or blankets and have a great time! *IF you are ONLY attending this event, please pay $10.00 for your family.
Saturday evening is our main event from 6:00 pm – 1:30 a.m.! The committee has worked hard planning a special evening to commemorate our 20 year Class Reunion. The reunion will be held at the German Club on the Virginia Tech campus. There is plenty of parking at the club. Cocktail hour will be from 6:00pm- 7:00pm Dinner will begin at 7:00 pm (see menu below) This event is also BYOB but mixers, ice and cups will be provided.We will have a DJ, dancing, and special awards! A group picture will be taken and will be available for you to purchase. Attire: Dressy/Casual For directions to the German Club, see the map at www.vtgc.net. Please print out and complete the following questionnaire/registration. Send this in even if you do not plan to attend as we want everyone to be included. This information will enable us to prepare awards and notarization at the event on Saturday evening. Send your payment and/or questionnaire to one of the following people by July 2, 2010.

As stated before, we have tried to keep the fee for the weekend as low as possible while still providing different types of events and we feel $50.00 per person is very reasonable for what we have planned. Thank you in advance for your support!
