How about writing some of you favorite memories of places to go or things to do?

I loved playing pinball, Foosball, pool and air hockey at the Silver Cue.

Can you believe we had an official smoking area at school? I wonder when that stopped. I would laugh whenever someone would try to light up some pot instead of a cigarette, they would always get caught.

Loved going to Farrell's and the Fiesta Twin cinema. See's Candy, oh how I miss that!

Football our sophomore year...undefeated!!!

Liked eating popcorn for lunch...it beat the box lunches from Jr. High...well the marble cake in the box lunch was awesome!

Enjoyed classes with Ms.Kline, Mr. Rod, Ms. Terry and Mr. Harris. Didn't care for Mr. Cote, Mr. Hummelman or Mr. Barcus(I still have nightmares sometimes about geometry)

Do you all remember waiting our turn on the Senior Lawn? I think I walked across it a time or two!

I became a smoker after high school, but would go to the smoking area with Traci to 'socialize' I'm sure it's gone now for sure, with all the anti-smoking laws in California.

I was happy to grow up in Chula Vista when we did...simpler times and all! I was proud to be a Spartan, and I'm very happy to find that after 30 years, we ALL can be friends!

Well I know the smoking area is gone because my cousin went there and said it wasn't there. I loved Farrel's too! I went to See's at the Chula Vista Mall when I was there for Thanksgiving, MMmmmmmmm. How about Bob's Big Boy on H street? Do you remember White Front on Broadway and Palomar? It's where the Target store is now but it was originally built as a White Front store. How about collecting soda bottles to turn in for the nickle or dime refund??? That was so much fun! Here's another one to think about...on Colorado Ave by Harborside there was a celery and a tomato packing factory. I used to eat the tomatoes that were left on the conveyor belt at the end of the work day. I actually ate them for so long I would't eat them for years after we moved to a different part of town. I have learned to like them again as a adult.

I got in touch with Mark Vanlandingham this week. He's very interested in the Reunion, but likes to avoid social websites like Facebook and Classmates. Once we get dates set, I'll pass the info along. Same goes for Danita Mowry.

BTW, Great work Deb!

I miss the great times in High school, the OPEN CAMPUS being able to walk off and go to Jack in the Box on 3rd and K and a dilly bar next door when it was still Baskin Robin.

Mr. Regan and the # 1 band in Socal There was not one BAnd competition we could not win alone with the letteretts and the Drill team and flags The Spartan Band could not be beat.

How about the Skating rink we did have a ton of freedom and fun our kids really would have loved School much better in our time

Does anyone remember going to look at Christmas lights? Candy Cane Lane and Whitney-Mankato(sp)?
...one year someone went to the mountains and brought back a truckload of snow for the kids to play in! Loved the snow then...not so much now!

I remember going to Candy Cane Lane, I don't know what the other thing was you mentioned. Randy and I would go up to the Lagunas for snow time too. Now I know what snow and mountains REALLY are.

o.k -- let's see what I remember -- yes, our sophomore year for football. Breakfast Jacks, lemon pies and Jack's secret sauce on their cheeseburgers. The senior/faculty basketball game (my one day as a cheerleader). Taking your DMV test and having to parallel park on the hill on 4th ave near the park. The rivalery between us and Hilltop. Having dances after football games. PapaDooRunRun. Watching our school dance on that dance program on Saturday afternoons. I agree, the marble cake from junior high, yummy. Breaking up w/then boyfriend in front of his new girlfriend and his friends at lunch. Bowling after the Prom. Having lunch w/friends on Senior lawn.
