After leaving High School, I went to Berkeley for undergrad and then to law school at USD. I was a Deputy District Attorney before I opened my own law office- focusing on divorce, criminal defense and immigration. The office is right across the street from the Chula Vista mall and has a huge sign with my smiling face on it.

I married in 1999 to Maria Valdez, who now works as my office manager- thus being in charge both at home and at work!

I guess one of my favorite stories is creating the Fishing Club. I was applying to colleges and wanted to boost my extra-curricular activities, so I created a club for people that liked to fish. The only problem was that I really didn't know how to fish and, since I worked weekends for my parents, I couldn't make it to any of the field trips that we planned.

But I did know how to promote a club- for a semester or so, the fishing club had in excess of 50 members!
