Dr Lenart and I met when we were four years old, and became instant friends. Since we both had very light blonde, curly hair and blue eyes and shared the same birth date, we decided we were twins born to different parents. We were excited to walk to school together on our first day of Kindergarten and were more excited to learn we were in the same class. We were inseperable. Ironically, thirteen years later, we once again shared each others excitment, although this time bittersweet, as we walked to school together on our last day at Morton. After the graduation ceremony, we found each other and shared a sisterly hug, vowing to remain twins forever.

Dr Carol Paleczny Lenart founded the Expanding Horizons Behavioral Health Services clinic in Downers Grove, IL. She was an outstanding Psychotherapist/Psychophysiologist. Carol was the beloved wife of Dr Micheal Lenart and loving mother of Andrew and Amy Lenart; beloved daughter of Ted and Barbara Paleczny. She was the dear sister to Linda Kulinski, Diane (Anthony) Bovenszo, Garry, Ted and David Paleczny. She was also the proud aunt of Lauren, Matthew(Ursula) Kulinski, Rosalie and Lisa Paleczny.

Despite Carol's  courageous battle, in Oct, 2007, Leukemia won. She is with her father, Ted and youngest brother David, who predeceased her. She is also with her mother, Barbara, who died in 2015.

Carol is greatly missed by her family, and all those those who were fortunate enough to have had her as their therapist. She touched many lives. Needless to say, she is also missed by me, her twin.
