I have great memories of Debbie. She lived next door to me on Austin Blvd.  She was my closest childhood friend, along with Mary Beth Judis, who lived next to Debbie.  All 3 houses in a row.  The last time I saw Debbie was at my parents 50th wedding anniversary in March of 1998.  Debbie looked radiant!  She had been divorced for some time and found a new guy who she was madly in love with.  Debbie and I sat on a couch outside the banquet hall room, so we could catch up about our lives and share our stories. I was leaving for a long awaited vacation the following day, however we made plans to get together for lunch.  Ill never forget that day, as in all the years I knew Debbie,I  truly never saw her this happy.  As my family was leaving for our vacation the next day, my mother called me to tell me Debbie had a fatal heart attack in her kitchen that night.  Thank you dear God for getting us together for what would be our very last time.

So sorry, I didn't realize that she was only 45 years old.  She sat next to me in 1st grade at Our Lady of Charity.

So glad you posted about Debbie..

I met Debbie sophomore year and we remained friends until she passed. Debbie was truly happy and I believe in a good place. Her nick name was “Queen Bee” , she was our social coordinator for years.  When the few of our group is able to get together the great stories involving Debbie always surface, many beginning at our parties in her basement as teenagers.  Many good memories of a good friend.
