Hello everyone!  It's time for a winter attitude improvement session!  Bev Wright Smith posted a message on our FB group just now.  Let's meet at Los Cabo's Mexican Grill located in the strip center at SR 125 and Bach Buxton Road at 6:00 PM on Monday 27 January.  Don't worry if you can't make it at 6:00 exactly, just get there.   However, give Bev or myself a heads up if you can make it so we can get a big enough table.  We would like to pin down a date for our 50th reunion from those in attendance.  See you there!

Obituary for Linda Kadle Dorsey's Mom - I remember her being such a nice Lady.  My condolences to you, Linda, Jim & Family.

Pauline Rose “Posie” Kadle, 95, of Union Township, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Forest Hills Care Center.  She was born October 25, 1924 in Newtown, daughter of the late August and Bertha Fille Burger.  She was the widow of the late Eugene N. Kadle, who passed away 59 years ago. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vera Lang, Evelyn Zeller and Marjorie Yockey. 

Pauline was a lifetime member of Summerside Methodist Church and worked as a Clerk at the State Highway Patrol for 30 years.  

She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Dorsey and husband Jim; grandchildren, Jimmy Dorsey and wife Cindy, Randy Dorsey and wife Alicia, TJ Dorsey and wife Michelle; great-grandchildren, Jay, Lizzie, Cooper, Nora, Ruthie and Oscar.  She also leaves behind many other family and friends, including her friends at Eastgate Village, where she lived for 8 years.  

Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM, until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 W. Main St. (SR 125), Amelia.  Pastor Nicole Henderson-Johns will officiate.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park on Princeton Road in Hamilton.

Barbara A. (Ward) Hillman Holmes, 67, of Tipp City, died November 19, 2019 at Hospice of Miami County. Born January 31, 1952 in Covington, KY, she attended Glen Este High School and the Univ. of Cincinnati. She was a dedicated teacher at John H. Morrison Elementary for 35 years and a favorite substitute teacher in Tipp City for 8 years. Preceded in death by her father, James Ward. Survived by her loving family, including mother Dolores, husband Tom, daughter Amy, grandson EJ, brothers Dave and Steve, sister Kathy, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was so loved by her students, fellow teachers, and the many friends she made throughout her life. During her illness she appreciated the support of the Pink Ribbon Girls and Ohio’s Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to these organizations. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 7, at Shiloh Church, 5300 Philadelphia Drive, with visitation at 11:00a, service at 12:00. Hi Vicki,  Good to hear from you.  My husband and I are doing good.  I hope everyone else is doing good, also. This is certainly different times for all of us. My brother in law had the coronavirus and almost died, but he is home and doing good now. After watching him go through that, I hope no one else I know gets this and suffers like he did. I know I don't like having to stay in and do social distancing, but for those of us who aren't in the best of health, we need to be extra cautious. I hope everyone is staying healthy and staying safe. Hopefully we will get to see everyone whenever we can have our class reunion.  Nancy

Hello, all...we are finally back in Ohio.  Our Florida home in Charlotte County Florida was actually in an area that was safer for us than here, so since my husband is a heart by-pass patient, we chose to stay there a month longer than usual.  What a difference....we left dry and in the 90's every day to rain and cool.  We have avoided illness, and I will be a great-grandma any day now.  So sorry about Art.  
Hope we can get together for our 50th sometime this fall.  Everyone be safe.
