I greatly appreciate it. The situation has been extremely difficult to say the least. I pray every day for my son. I worry, not only about his physical well-being but his emotional too. To be paralyzed at his age is a huge thing to face and accept. All prayers are so welcome and appreciated.
I am also sorry to hear this about your son and I know what the power of prayer can do, too. My nephew's wife had a stroke 2 yrs ago at age 36 and she was not expected to live. I believe with my nephew's family helping and everyone praying for her, she did survive. Still paralyzed on the left side, but she is getting better everyday, I certainly will pray for your son, you and your family.
Judy I am sorry to hear about your son . I believe in the power of prayer . If you don't believe, prayer is useless . I also had a stroke just over a year ago. It wasn't as bad as your son sounds . I was in a wheelchair for less than 3 months. I still use a cane but fell well otherwise . The strange thing about my stroke is it affected the left side of of my face and the right side of my body. The doctor liked bringing students in to poke my face and body with pins, they thought it was great fun.
Don't give up, my wife and I will both be praying for you and your son.
Dear All, I was sorry to read of so many losses in 2016. I hope you all are hanging in there. I wish you peace and send my love. Judy, I am wondering how your son is now doing. Just wanted to make sure you folks know my thoughts are with you. Blessings, Vicki
I thank everyone for their kind and supportive words regarding my son. He is home and doing remarkable for someone paralyzed on half of the body. He has a custom leg brace. With that and a cane he gets around. He hosted Thanksgiving for our family in his home. My grandson did most of the cooking with other family members helping out and bringing dishes.
This Thanksgiving I have never felt more thankful and blessed.
Sorry to report the passing of another 1970 Classmate:

Arthur's Obituary
Arthur was born on March 8, 1952 and passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017. Arthur was a resident of Milford, Ohio at the time of his passing. He was married to Pamela. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held all day at the Sportsmans Club in Batavia on Saturday April 22nd. Bring your stories.
As many of you know there are a number of activities planned at GE this weekend. Saturday will be the last day to tour the school before it is torn down. A few of us (Nadine Pack Metz, Harold Jackson and myself so far) were considering trying to meet somewhere on the grounds (by the lake? or any suggestions are welcome) @ 2:00 and touring the school together. It might be necessary to park some distance from school and walk so this is WEATHER PERMITTING! Any other grads of class '69;'71 etc. are welcome to join us.
Although there will be food trucks there perhaps we could all go out to eat afterwards.
I will post this on the class Facebook page as well.
Wish I could be there. I would love to see the school one last time. Hopefully, I will be in Ohio sometime this summer and we can have a dinner get together. Have fun!
So here is the latest . if anyone wants to meet in the parking lot of Rincon Mexican restaurant @1:45 and proceed to GE to tour the school(it's open until 4:00) Nadine Pack Metz will be there (isn't she a trooper!) She/they will then return to Rincon and we can meet to @4:30 to eat. I know Martha Wilkins and Dick Springer will be there and maybes are Kyle Steiner and Monty Profitt. It is foggy and misting rain at my house in Union, KY but hopefully it will clear up. I am strictly a fair weather friend! ;) Look forward to seeing whoever can make it this afternoon. Bev
Does anyone know if this is the Tim Brady that graduated with us?
Timothy John Brady, age 65 of Pierce Township, passed on November 11, 2017. Tim was the beloved husband of 38 years to Terry Mills Brady and excellent father of sons Aaron Brady and Drew Brady. He was the devoted son of the late Mary and Hugh Brady Jr. and loving brother of his four siblings, the late Chris Bennett (Timothy), Daniel Brady (Nawanna), the late Michael Brady and Bridgett Raffenberg (David). He was very fond of his many nieces and nephews and was a devoted friend of Jeff and Sam Jensen. Tim was an avid fisherman, golfer and baseball enthusiast and enjoyed his many years of coaching youth knothole and basketball. Arrangements are private for the family. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
I'm not sure if many still use this site but following is a message I posted on our GE Class of '70 Facebook Group a few days ago. "I recently chatted with a few classmates and we thought maybe it was time for a little gathering. So whoever can make it on Wednesday Jan. 9th @5:00. Monty Proffitt suggested Los Cabo's. So spread the word and we'll get a head count when it gets closer. For now . . everyone have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!"
If I lived close I would surely be there. Looks like we have the BIG 50 reunion coming up soon. Hopefully we can find a place that doesn’t have a short time limit. I think many of us would be willing to spend more money to come to the 50th. Time sure does seem to fly by quickly now.
Steve Masters ('71) and the Tim Jacoby Trio will be playing this Friday (4/12) @ 9:00 at Hank's in Mt Carmel. We always make it a good time when we go to see Steve play. We're planning on getting there around 7:30 - 8:00 for dinner. So far going I have me, Nadine Metz, Kyle Steiner, Martha Wilkins, Harold Jackson (?), Dick Springer and his wife Sue and a couple other people who aren't classmates. Let me know if you're coming and I'll try and reserve some tables. This isn't just for classmates so bring your spouse/friends. We're not dead yet so lets act like it and have some fun!
