Dick Hodapp messaged me yesterday with the sad news. And here's the message Chick's wife, Harriet posted on Facebook: ‎«Harriet Heithaus‎ to Chick Heithaus Yesterday at 10:04am · Oct. 18 was the last Facebook post for a very special man. Friend to children, lover of the arts, international business whiz, husband to the luckiest woman alive. He died of a heart attack Thursday morning in Hanstedt, Germany, the day after seeing the last of a number of friends and their children, and, now those children's children, all of whom he loved dearly. His last week was so happy. We will all miss him terribly.» There are some great shots of their trip on his Facebook page. The news hit me hard; he sat near me in one of our classes. I could never get over how far he had to travel each day to get to WHHS. Even now I'm not sure where Mt Washington is. It was great connecting again of Facebook.
