Ah, Kathy, I remember the fun I had spending the night at your house and discovering your dad's collection on Playboy magazines. We were so naive. I wonder what your life was like. I'll miss you. I have a portrait I did of you in pastels in Mr. Volz's class. Some of my best memories are in the classroom and on the stage painting. We had fun!

Kathy visited me once while I lived in Washington on the last go-round (Clarkston), shortly after her husband passed away. She was so full of life and humor. I'm sad to find she's gone. We had our wilder times!

We corresponded for a while after she moved to Washington State, which then seemed like the other side of the world, schooling me on the inside of campus life at a big state school. We connected again for a while after I got her address at one of these reunions. I was hoping that might happen again after this one. She was an interesting and good friend and I am sorry she has died.
