After High School, Roger attended the Ohio College of Applied Sciences where he studied Mechanical Engineering and was Student Body President. He graduated with an Associate Degree and was working at Avco when he became ill.  Sadly he passed away on April 3, 1967 after a six month battle with cancer.  We were engaged in December 1966 after more than five years together.

I'm glad you posted about Roger.  I didn't realize he only lived 6 months after learning he had cancer.  He's been gone so many years now, altho I know in some ways it seems like only yesterday.

Roger was so cute, had this great big smile.

I remember "double dating " with Ruth and Roger. It was always fun and had an air of excitement. It was such a surprize when he became ill. It seemed impossible that someone so young could become so ill so quickly.

Roger and Ruth were such a fine couple at Woodward. Roger and Paul King were the first two boys I met entering Kindergarten at Hartwell School. Became best friends with both.

Andy Abrams and Steve Adams were the first two boys I met the first day of 7th grade at Woodward. So hard to beleive they're both gone as well.

What fine men they all were. RIP gentlemen. What a huge loss to our class!
