I didn't know that Fred had died last year. I am so sadden by the news. Fred was a sweet, kind, funny soul. His Mom and Dad lived down the street from my parents in Hartwell. Our fathers both worked at Emery Inds. 'Red' as Fred's father was know by, would walk up the hill to our house and have a beer with my father. They would sit and discuss everything to solve the world with sometimes ending in very heated exchanges. At the end Fred would have to walk his Dad up to my house as his sight was going. Fred's mom, Millie, was a wonderful person too. No wonder Fred grew up to be such a great human being. My heart goes out to his family.
