Wish I could be there. We have been back to Michigan 5 times in less than a year and the last three were for funerals. Needless to say, we probably cannot make it this summer. But who knows, we are always looking for excuses to come visit the grandkids.
We have a blended family, so with my spouse's children, add another 6 (5 females, 1 male) and another 4 grandchildren...hard to say girls and boys when they are grown adults...
We moved to Northern Florida about 12 years ago and opened a computer store. My husband George works there full time as does my daughter Jane. I just took a job with the State so my vacation time is limited. The weather is great and we love it here, can't ever see moving back to shovel snow. I always say Michigan is a great place to be from.
My two oldest brothers live in Naples, Fl, so other than my sister we are within driving distance and see each other often. As you probably know, my brother Jerry died about 10 years ago...still miss him.
I have lots of memories of Clare and take the grandkids there once in a while and point out "memories".
