Taught English at University Heights Middle School (Riverside, CA) - 18 years
Taught English at Yucaipa High School (Yucaipa, CA) - 17 years
Retired in 2013 and began serving on the CA State Board for Alpha Delta Kappa, a diverse, international honorary women's organization dedicated to altruism, educational excellence, and World Understanding. I completed my CA presidency in 2022. That means I was directly connected to education since I was four-years-old.
We raised our family, traveled extensively (mostly camping and "chasing live steam locomotives"), belonged to various organizations, and loved life!
