Join your friends and classmates as we celebrate
the people, places and programs that make Harvey Mudd shine.

The College has prepared an exciting weekend for you and your friends!
To accurately prepare for the weekend, reservations are required for several events.
Check the SCHEDULE OF EVENTS to learn more about all of the weekend's events.

Registration Fees for the Weekend:
$15.00/person: 50th Reunion Class (1967);
Young Alumni (2012-2016)
$30.00/person: all alumni and guests age 13 and over. 
No registration fee is charged for children under 13
 and alumni from classes 1961-1966 and guests.

9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m
Kids Korner will be on Saturday, April 29, ONLY
Please note that parents MUST stay with their children at all times.
Children are not to be left unattended.

All alumni are invited back to campus starting Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30. 
Please let us know if you are interested in attending this year!

Highlights of this year's programming include:

  • academic and special interest receptions and 3-C wine tasting
  • Alumni Association awards
  • dinners for all Reunion Classes
  • the annual 5-Class Competition

Lavender Graduation Celebration and Reception at Claremont McKenna College Athaneaum
This annual celebration recognizes the scholarship and community contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, pansexual, intersex, asexual and ally graduating seniors and graduate students from across The Claremont Colleges.

Randall Spangler '92 is organizing a group dive the first day of Alumni Weekend.

Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts Reception
Join department Chair Bill Alves and other members of HSA
for a casual reception featuring student art, videos and photos.

10:30 a.m.–Noon
Delta ?T Panel
Alumni from each decade will reflect on their time at HMC
 and discuss the differences and similarities of their experiences.


Noon–1 p.m. $
Lunch with Faculty Department Chairs
Join all seven academic department chairs to hear important updates about new faculty, current research and accomplishments.

1:30–3:30 p.m.
Shakespeare Play


1:30–3:30 p.m.
Academic Receptions
Meet with faculty and hear news and updates about academic departments.
Some departments will offer tours:

  • 1:30–2:30 p.m. Biology, Engineering or Math
  • 2:30–3:30 p.m. Chemistry, Computer Science or Physics


3:30–5:00 p.m.
Bates Reception
Casual get-together is for all generations of Bates alumni and those who love to talk about flying.
Iris Critchell, instructor of aeronautics emerita, and members of the student group,
the Barnstormers, will discuss efforts to maintain a thriving aero community.


4:30–6 p.m.
50th Reunion Reception, Medal Ceremony and Class Photo
Class of 1967 members and their guests are invited to an exclusive reception
to celebrate their 50th reunion.
Members of the 50+ classes (1961–1966) will join in honoring their newest peers.
Official class photos for 1967 and 1962 will be taken at this event.


4:30–6:00 p.m.
HMC Entrepreneurial Network (HMCEN) Reception
All alumni and students interested in networking with entrepreneurs are invited to hear economics Professor Gary Evans discuss the state of innovation at Harvey Mudd.

5–6:30 p.m. $
3-C Wine Tasting at Scripps
Enjoy wine produced by alumni from each college, and mingle with your favorite professors.

Friday Reception
Officially kick-off the start of the weekend with a reception welcoming all Alumni weekend attendees.

50th and 50+ Alumni Reunion Reception 
Members of the classes of 1961-1967 are invited to gather in honor of the Class of 1962 (55th Reunion) and 1967 (50th Reunion) following the medal ceremony.

7:00–9:00 p.m. 
50th Reunion Dinner Hosted by Hugh Saurenman '67

The Class of 1967 and their guests can gather for the traditional
casual Friday night dinner at Hugh Saurenman's home.

50+ Alumni Dinner 
Members of the classes of 1961 - 1966 are invited to gather for dinner in celebration
of the comradery of being part of the HMC community for 50+ years.

Bring your friends, and join us for Food Truck Friday. Enjoy delectable treats from local food trucks.

Platt Living Room transforms into a retro arcade for an alumni after-party!

The Alumni Association Board of Governors presents, on behalf of all alumni, several awards:

  • to celebrate achievement,
  • the Outstanding Alumnus Award;
  • to recognize exceptional service to alumni and the College,
  • the Lifetime Recognition Award, the Honorary Alumnus/a designation and
  • the Van Hecke Prize, (considered the highest honor given by the alumni association.)

All-Alumni Wine and Cheese Reception
Join alumni and faculty for refreshments before dinner.
