New Superintendent

The Clayton School District has hired a new Superintendent, Dr. Mary Herrmann starting the 2010-2011 school year.  Dr. Herrmann is formerly the Superintendent for Winnetka, Illinois, an suburb just north of Chicago.  Dr. Hermann will replace Dr. Don Senti, who retired after 15 years as Superintendent of Clayton.

New Construction

Changes are underway in the Clayton School District.  New construction has either been completed or is under way at Clayton High School, each of the three elementary schools, and the Family Center.  The construction completed at the elementary schools includes new Science Classrooms.

Clayton voters approved a bond issue in April 2010 to build a new Wydown Middle School at its current location.  Plans are underway.  The new school is expected to be completed in approximately 2012.
