Unfortunately, I've had to change my registration for the reunion and send in regrets.  The Great Recession has left our family on one income for nearly a year now, and despite our hopes and best efforts, that situation isn't going to change anytime soon.  My family and I have very much wanted to attend this reunion for a long time, but neither plane tickets nor a 14 hour car drive are possible for us now.  We're grateful that the one income we do have enables to have a good home and lifestyle -- far better than many Americans these days -- but for the time being, it doesn't allow for travel.  Again, as I posted on my profile, I am so thankful that I grew up in Clayton with wonderful kids who became life-long friends.  I am certain that my life never would have led to the success and happiness I've enjoyed if I hadn't been in such a warm and supportive community.  My love and thanks to the teachers, classmates, and friends who made such a positive and profound difference in my life, and who are passing it on to the next generation.  I'll be with you in spirit always!

I am so sorry to hear you will not be joining us.  It is so nice hearing about your updates on your family and your fabulous son!  What a great mom you are! Remembering your mom I have no doubt she was a great influence!!  Miss you, Eileen Duffy Chapman
