20 years, wow. Let’s see…
I went to Syracuse University in upstate New York, and then through various events and coincidences, landed a job in Cleveland, OH, in video production/post, which was my major. I lived in Cleveland for about 6 years, and then moved out to Los Angeles, CA. I am now a Director of Creative Advertising at 20th Century Fox. I work in the Feature Marketing department, which develops and finishes movie trailers and TV commercials. I also developed a makeup line, which launched in 2006. Owning my own company has been grueling work, especially on top of a full-time job, but it's turned into a nice little side business. I still write, and have had a couple of things published. Just small stuff, nothing major yet.
Over the past 20 years, I've done quite a bit of traveling, most of which has been within the U.S. This country is beautiful! Although I would love to get to Europe one of these days. My husband is from Scotland, but he spent most of his life in New York. We talk about visiting Scotland and Germany [my roots], but have yet to do it.
I met my husband David in LA about 7 years ago, and we got married in 2004. We both have a habit of rescuing animals, so we now have a fairly large "brood". Our traveling these days consists mostly of family visits to New York, St. Louis and San Diego. Although we do squeeze in an occasional vacation to Maui!
