It seems like yesterday that we graduated from Herbert Hoover. I do not feel (or act) any older than I ddid when we graduated.
After high school I went to Alderson-Broaddus College and earned my degree in Music Education. I then went to Marshall University and worked on a Masters in Music Theory and Composition, then earned my Master's in Education from Waynesburg University.
I have been the band director at Grafton High School since 1999. I am now working on my certification for school administration. I really want to be an elementary school principal. I have been going to band camp since I was 15 years old and am getting tired.
My wife Crystal and I married in 1999 and we have two children Jonah age 8 and Abby age 6. They are my world! My wife is a physician assistant at the local hospital in Grafton. She is the smartest person I know.
My son is an avid soccer player and improving at baseball. I hope someday he is playing 1st base for the Reds!
My daughter is doing very well in gymnastics. Her next level of advancement is the developmental team for competition. Abby thinks she is 16 and is on track to be the next Hannah Montana or Taylor Swift.
Jonah and Abby both enjoy music. They have no other choice! They both are attempting the guitar but I realize that I can not teach them because I expect too much from them. I want them to love music as much as I do.
They both do well in school. At the last report card, Jonah had straight A's except for a C in "Conduct". He is so me!! The class clown.
