50 years later, what is your life like now? Retired? Activities? etc.

Heartbroken after the loss of my only child, my beloved son Ryan, in June 2022 at age 44.
However, I try to continue putting one foot in front of the other as my son would have wanted and have been designing jewelry for 20 years. After becoming a cancer survivor some years ago I wanted to do something more creative by using more metals which led me to experimenting with sheet metal which I cut and design and hammer or texture with different Dremel techniques.
I work with pure non refined sustainable environmentally conscious "green" metals that are sourced and made in the USA which is my small effort toward saving our planet. Pictured are some of my jewelry designs that reflect my style.
My work is now displayed for 2022-2023 at Heights Art Gallery and Store which contributes to the region’s artistic vitality by showing and selling artworks by regional artists. It is located within our "old stomping grounds" on Lee Rd next to the iconic Cedar Lee Theatre which shows specialty films that transcend art-house appeal along with contemporary updates to compete with multiplexes with 6 screens and modern stadium-style seating. The area is really revitalized and hopping without taking away much of the yesteryear vibe.
I am a trustee board member of the Beachwood Arts Council and music chair. Our efforts encourage the development and appreciation of the visual and performing arts and provide access to quality works of art that reflect the diverse cultures of Northeast Ohio.
I am also active in Chow Chow dog rescue and have adopted 5 throwaway and abused Chows in the last 30 years. My latest girl Sammie was dumped as a 10 year old senior and I adopted her in March 2021.
How about a 60 year reunion!

Other places you have lived:

As many of you know I came to the USA from England many, many years ago and became an American citizen after the wait period 6 years later. There is still a little of the Brit in me but the rest is all Americana!

What is your favorite memory of your days at CHHS? (good and bad)?

Kneeling on the floor to see if my skirt touched it and being sent home to change when it didn't!
But, most of all everyone that I met who have continued to cross my path as the years have gone by.

What would do differently if you had a second chance at CHHS?

Not dwindled away time and studied art seriously since there were some great opportunities to have been pursued.

Are you on Facebook?

Katy and I were friends at Roosevelt and Heights. She was always so lovely and sweet.  Rest in Peace dear Katy!
