Dear Classmates,

After nearly a year of anticipating the reunion, I am not going to be able to attend. I am very disappointed as I really looked forward to seeing many of you. I have truly enjoyed reading profiles and I’ve appreciated the range of creative and good works that so many of you are engaged in. The Class of '69 really does shine on!

My dad passed away last week and I have traveled to Florida, not only to lay my dad to rest, but to help my mom with all of the many final and financial details. There is much to do and I also need to get back to California quickly to work with my agency and employees to prepare for the doomsday of events that are set take place in the next few weeks which will significantly affect our lower income elderly and disabled population.

I know that this will be a once in a life time event, making it all the sadder to miss. I want to commend those of you who have taken on leadership and organizing roles, and everyone who have shared their stories on the site. I look forward to hearing stories and seeing photos of the weekend. And I hope that I will receive my memory book!

I also want to acknowledge this website for putting me in touch with classmate Rick Greene and his wife, Debby, who have been tremendous supports to me during my many recent trips to Sarasota while my dad was ill.

Best wishes to all. I will be with you in spirit.

Francie

Even though the weekend hasn't started yet - it's already been a lot of fun thanks to the efforts of the reunion committee. This great web site has been a lot of fun. I thought it was crazy to start hearing about this weekend what seems like about a year ago - but it was definitely a good way to get things going. The web site has gotten a lot of energy going and enabled a lot of us to get pumped up for this event.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all this weekend. Hopefully we'll have name tags to help me with remembering names .

Hats off to the committee.

Thanks.

Hello all...

What a great evening! Thanks again to the committee for all of their efforts.

I spoke to several classmates and fly fishing came up in the conversation... I promised to get them some info regarding a charity outing I am hosting at Rockwell Springs Trout Club in Castalia (Anyone remember the "Blue Hole"?) just SW of Sandusky.

Unlike the schvitz... This is a co-ed function, so any classmate who would like to give fly fishing a try Nov 4th & 5th, please just:

Copy, paste & click on the address below. Then click on "Event Forms" and then on "2009 Rockwell Springs Cast & Blast".

http://www.woodsandwatersclub.com/Page_1x.html

Looking forward to tonight...
