Louie,

I just returned to the Forum and saw your great offer for the next decade. Well, like I told Steven, if my back ever stops hurting me there are a lot of things I want to do. I know, when we have our 60th BD bash next summer, if the offer is still good and I can stay awake..I MIGHT, and I say..MIGHT consider any offer I get!1 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Sue, I've not walked in your shoes with your mom...but my mom had similar issues and I walked in my shoes dealing with them. Your mom is so fortunate to have you closeby...and with such a caring heart. Just make sure to take care of yourself too.

Sue, I'm with Shelley. God bless you for being there for your mom. I wish you and your family much strength and love and be sure to take care of yourself. Take time to nurture yourself as well. In 2008 I took care of my father who was ill for 9 mos before he passed. I'm grateful I had that time but the main thing I learned was to get yourself support!

Having a mom in Menorah park with the beginnings of demensha (SP) I can tell you that it is hard...But the most important thing is not to keep the stress in, but to talk about your feelings with your love ones. She is still your mom, but not less but different.

Does anyone know if Stanley Lasky, the social problems teacher is still around?

He was my favorite teacher, hands down!

I tried GOOGLING him and found nothing....
(I sometimes do wonder all many of our teachers are still with us.... I know my 4 grade teacher is in a nursing home for example....)

Along this line last year I did call Mr Fusco (art teacher at Roosevelt)

I did see he is listed as a guest member on the forum. I would have liked to tell him how much his class meant to me.

I too loved Mr. Fusco. I remember him talking about living in Amish country....Burton? Anyway he inspired me to take more art classes at Hts.High. Not as much fun as Fusco's class, but definetly top notch educationally!

Anybody out there checked out the Kent State Truth Tribunal event? I plan on going-not sure which day-anybody want to join me? I've been talking with Laurel Krause-Allisons sister-after talking with her I feel strongly about supporting her and all the families involved. Hope you do too after looking at KSTT.

I had both Lasky and Fusco and I loved both of their classes. Mr. Fusco was sooo patient and much to kind to tell me I had absolutely no artistic skills. I think he is retired in Burton.

Steve, 60 is definately the new 40. I just turned 59 and I sure do not feel it. Remember when we thought 60 was really old? Not anymore.

I just saw the discussion about the 60th birthday party. That would be great!! I would definately try to fly in for that. Squires Castle sounds like a great place to do it-or any place you guys pick. I've been gone for 22 years so don't remember the good spots. Boy time flies and things change. Every time I come to Cleveland I try to take a day and just drive around the old neighborhoods. So many changes. I love it though! Wish I could live up there but I am really spoiled by the winter down here. All my best to all, Laurie. P.S. I still wish more Moticello people would write in this forum. Where are you guys?????

Debbie Dorsky (Meitin)

I'll be in Cleveland the end of the month for 2 cousins' b'not mitzvah. I think Sue is proposing a dinner at Champps on Thursday, April 29. Look here for details.

Sue, I hope things go smoothly for you and your family. As many of us have said, we've been through it and it's not easy, but patience and understanding really help.

Yes, Stan Lasky is still around in the Cleveland area as he helped us find people on the missing list. Look on whitepages.com to get his address and phone number if you are interested.
