I would be interested... I have no voice for singing and still have nightmares about the solo he had us do in class... but a interest in music was cause by him.... (Just like an interest in art was cause by Mr Fusco....

ANYONE is better than the Celtics....so very glad Lakers won!  Of course, don't tell anyone that I fell asleep on the couch halfway into the 3rd qtr when the Lakers were behind by 5 or 6, then woke up when the game was already over...,DAMN

Yes, I am baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack   online with my new laptop.  Boy, it sure is HOT today.  I must be the only one home and online on a Saturday night....haha

Steven, I am ALREADY on that website, been there last 2 years.  Went through a LOT to apply for one position, pages and pages of stuff, plus had to get and send them school transcripts....blech!

Hey, let me know if there's to be any mini-get-together planned for the summer.  I'm game, and have a good car now, too

Hey, check out the NEW pics....FINALLY....thanks to the built in web cam, I took my own pictures

I haven't checked in for a long time, so decided to do that this morning.  My friends who graduated from Shaker in 1970 are planning their reunion and have looked at our stuff for ideas.

Now I lost my train of thought..... Just turned 59 and you know what comes with that.....

Hi Everyone,

I've been very busy so I haven't had a lot of time to play on the forum or facebook much lately, but everyone's in my thoughts. I am so excited about Mr. Yanick's get together that Joyce arranged. I wish I could be there for that as he and Mr. Fusco were my favorite teachers. I was in his last period class when Kennedy was shot. Remember, those of us at Roosevelt Singers had him for 3 years. 7th grade music class, where we all remember our solos!! Sandy and Joyce were in that class with me. Then 8th & 9th grade Singers. YAY! Joyce is going to show him the Singers picture and programs I left with her last reunion. How fun!!

Yvonne Raway, Lucy Chan (Julie now) and I are talking about meeting. I haven't see Lucy at all and every 10 years I see Yvonne at reunion! We laugh and I always say "see you in 10 years!" They live in San Diego!!! Soooooo hopefully this year will be the year we actually get together! I'll keep you posted!

Claire your memory back to 1963 is amazing and seeing your comment I recall that I was also in Mr. Yanicks class that day -- the announcement came over PA by Mr. Myslenski(principal ?)  I saat behind Dorthea Colnon that year.

That day of Kennedy assasination was also my older sister's 21st birthday Marty Jaffe

Please remember to give Mr. Yanick my best. I doubt he will remember me, but I just adored him as a teacher. I thought he did an excellent job getting us ready for the rigors of music at Heights. I also thought WE looked pretty spiffy in those blue robes!!

P.S. How do I get a picture on this????

Hi Steve, That picture (like everything else in my life) has a story. It's a miracle it's nice. It was taken at the end of the day of our son's graduation from Boston University..it was at least 80 degrees, and very humid...and it rained most of the day. Believe me, I felt less than lovely when it was taken!! Everytime I look at it, I chuckle....

THIS WAS THE MESSAGE FROM THE CLASS OF 70'S REUNION WEEKEND. I HEARD THAT THEY HAD A FANTASTIC WEEKEND AND THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB.

It was a whirlwind weekend of reminiscing with old friends... and actually talking to classmates we never even knew.  Everyone was smiling, laughing, and hugging.  There was a lot of showing off pictures of our kids and grand kids, and promises of staying in touch.   From your comments and reactions I'd have to say we all had a really great time.

The committee can't believe that 2 years of planning is over.  It was so much fun. Our meetings were a crazy combination of business, reminiscing, and a lot of laughter.  What will we do now???

So many of you asked how many were at the reunion.
