Sue we just looked on facebook at the 1970 reunion pics-Yael and I commented how much older that class looks than the class of "69"! also for those interested we attended the rally for Gilad Shalit in Raanana saturday night---as a parent it is sickening that the red cross has had no access for  4 years to this soldier,it could have been any of our children!!check out the site gilad.ore

BYE BYE LEBRON,

He will never be the KING of Cleveland again.  I think that this move will hurt his chances of being the MVP again and putting  up  career numbers like he was putting up here.

Cleveland , we will move on, and Dan Gilbert  says he will put a winning team on the court.

Here is a letter from Dan Gilbert

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner
Cleveland Cavaliers

I always thought that basketball was a team sport and one man did not make the whole team…. In this case I was totally right!!!

funny i am more concerned about my children and all the problems that exist in the world today! just like our reunion proved, the ones who thought they are too cool ended up being the biggest losers !!! we have too many issues to address in life than basketball------- we try to teach our children to do what is right in life and LOYALTY is one of the biggest values that exists!!

That is the major point here, Kenny...like it or not sports and the entertainment biz in general have a huge impact on our youth and they just witnessed a huge lack of loyalty. It is a misplaced lesson to be sure but one that kids will remember...and that alone is pathetic.    I am going to confirm the date and place for our Mr. Yanick visit...lets show him how much he meant to us! Still looks like 7/19 @ 10:00am at his sisters house in euclid and then whoever has the time, how about lunch at Tommys?

how true .... That is why I do not follow pro-sports.... a kid who sees a guy like James making millions of dollars right out of high school, so he thinks he can do the same... not relizing that is not going to happen.... so he puts everything into sports and not study... That is a VERY BAD thing....

I find it interesting that in my case at the age of 718 months (ok 59) I am looking into getting a BAHA implant so I can hear stereo. It would help in groups where many people are talking at once and I could never tell direction....

Steven, good luck with your implant. You will then be perfect!! Now you're almost perfect!

I had lunch with Yvonne Rawray (Wultz) and Lucy Chan who is now Julie Barnes. We had a ball....at least 2-3 hr lunch! We met in the middle of our home locations, at Milton's in Del Mar which is a PRICEY Jewish Deli. Unfortunately in the whole county there are only 3 deli's none close to my house but this is about 20 miles from home. I live in the northwest section of San Diego, Julie lives in northeast section of the county and Yvonne lives in eastern San Diego proper suburbs.  We couldn't stop talking but I had to go back to work so we HAD to stop! Yvonne will be sending me a picture of our lunch together and I will post it on the forum. She also sent me pictures from reunion which when I get them all, I will post as well. Julie has never gone to any of the reunions. She looks absolutely great! We all talked about Roosevelt more than anything. This is the first time that Yvonne and I got together. We meet every reunion and say "let's get together" and never do. Now when I see her at reunions I say "see you in ten years!" and we laugh. Now that we've actually got together we've committed ourselves to do so every few months with Julie as well. We've already decided to do something special for our 60th birthdays...Yvonne in Sept., mine in Febr., and Julie's in June. I suggested a spa day at Hotel Del Coronado then dinner on the beach patio! Anyone want to join us??

Ok. Here's the lunch photo Yvonne just sent me. How fun it was for all of us! Julie Barnes (Lucy Chan), Yvonne Rawray-Wultz, and me....Clare Kelemen!

Hi Bonnie, click on the picture and it goes to my profile and the picture is larger. I wish you could come to dinner with us. We did talk about you in fact...when you lived here. I told them that I gave your ex-husband a massage!! Julie's hair looks great! Lighter and a bit of a wave...perm. Looks great. Yvonne looks good too!

Rachelle you were mentioned also....when you came last time to visit, Julie mentioned how you told her you were visiting me too! Yay! It's heartwarming!
