I am grateful for this whole concept and greatly entertained by ALL the interaction. Especially appreciative of all that the committee has done! Remember, everything is and has been done with the greatest and best of intentions.

Funny thing about music....I now like any of the big bands from the 30 and 40s.... While I was never into any rock groups (discovered Folk in High School)

Yael and I drove down to Coventry tonight to eat at Tommy's!driving through university hts. and cleveland hts. was very sad! house after house for sale or empty! what happened to our neighborhood? to those of you living out of town coming back home to cleveland is very different, our childhood neighborhoods are slum like! we chose to stay in cleveland and raise our children here,now most of our kids live out of town. think about it 40 years--almost biblical! i guess a lot happens in 40 years ,maybe that's why they say nothing stays the same.

Kenny, I was at Tommys yesterday too-what a place-as good now-or better-than it was in the good old hippie days. While I agree with you that many areas of Cleve-Univ Hts have gone downhill terribly, there are many areas that are still beautifully kept up. Just wanted to say that so you out of towners don't arrive thinking all of Cleveland is a slum-its still a wonderful place to live, play etc.

Hi Joyce and Kenny;

'They tore down the trees to make a parking lot'
I think both of you are right...I have been to Cleveland about once a year and I also enjoy the ride through our old haunts. Yes, Cleveland Hts is VERY different but the memories remain the same. I drove past Hts HS last year and saw the changes!!

If I close my eyes, so much comes rushing back including my trips to Tommy's which I will again enjoy in July when I am in Cleveland. Still will miss 'High Tide, Rock Bottom' and some of the other little stores. However, isn't it interesting how we all go 'home' to Coventry!!??!!

My kids gave me the cutest birthday card today.

It said;
You're old, you're fat, you look like crap. But have a Happy Birthday anyways.

My stomach still hurts from laughing. Looks like they got my genes.

Lou
You miss the point here... first of all you cannot be given bum status until you turn 21 :) so you are not a bum.... second of all you have had a good career (or it seems.... Of course in my case I would be that person from the movies that steve martin made.... you know the one.... the one with the glass hook....
