Mitch--events like card games or going to steam rooms, definitely perk my interest.very nice social situations.I haven't played cards in a million years or as austin powers says one billion years.no actually I did play recently this one time in band camp. no really I played poker(texas holdem?) on a cruise boat around manhatten, while on an hour break before bartending on this party cruise boat around statue of liberty, with some of the other staff.

PS: A special thanx to Charles Balcher for hosting several fun ping pong playing, poker playing parties at his house which touched beautiful cain park(great memories)also had mud wrestling in back yard (coed).
some attendees to Chuck's parties were bob kinstlinger, marc wasserman, alex roth, ron greenbaum, steven gladstone, paul friedman(70')and many ladies and others, can't remember names.I say Hi to all at Chucks parties and invite you all to join in the message board and say hi to everyone.(ping pong is fun )Hi also to Rob and Hi Erlich,Al Weiss,Larry Eder,& Gary Werner, though not sure if at Chucks game, but were at some game I was at.maybe tidley winks or poker winks.

Bonnie, a hearty congratulations to your son on his graduation!! Sounds like he really worked hard and it sure shows.

thank you for all the Mazels on Aaron's graduation. He is my "scarry smart" child and way smart than both his parents but together. I did not pay a dime for school, because he is an Air Force Reservist..they paid. I know that he will find a job, because all my children have worked since they have been 14 and he reminds me that his Audi is nicer than my Honda.

Anne, I spoke with Heather and she is a delight, you too should be very proud of her. I do remember playing on your front porch. Heather had a hard time realizing that her mom was a child and had friends!

Bonnie,
Thank you so much! You may have spoken to her more recently than I have 'cuz she's supposed to be moving this weekend.
In person she's even more delightful, and I am very proud of her. She has not tread an easy path.
It really is odd to realize that our kids have a hard time imagining us as young kids. Of course, meanwhile, I have trouble seeing mine as getting older. Mine are still really 6, 4, and 1 1/2 in my rusty brain. lol
Steve,
The two boys will be in college this August. My pockets will continue to remain empty.
Beth,
The rainy season has definitely hit us in Southeast NC, too. We had a multi-year drought that ended last year, but now we're making up for it, I think.

Mazel Tov on your son's graduation. My daughter was also atcommencement as she received her Masters in Library Science. What did you think of the speaker? We weren't very motivated by her. Good luck with your son finding employment. Out of the 93 people in her program, only 3 that she knew have jobs including herself.

Thank you for sharing that Mazel. Aaron did not participate at graduation, because he was a commuter and did not feel the need to spend the money for them to mail his degree to him. It was his Air Force weekend, so he went to do that and we spoke yesterday. He has an interview today and has others lined up.

Last night, my son and I watched the movie, "There Will Be Blood".
FYI: Excellent movie, but lots of violence, although I've seen a lot worse.
At the end, in the credits, it said it was a "Joanne Sellar/Ghoulardi Film Company". What's this? Does anyone know who's Ghoulardi this is? Is this OUR Ghoulardi?

05/18/09 07:02 PM #1572

Bill Kent

Anne...

The movie was written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson who is the son of Ernie Anderson, our own beloved Ghoulardi. I assume Paul owns the Ghoulardi Film Company. Other notable movies written and directed by Paul are "Magnolia" and "Boogie Nights."

Hey, I'm picking up your pet photos from your profiles and putting them at the bottom of photo albums but I'm not finding very many. So if you just haven't posted them, you can email their pics to magnumpi95@bellsouth.net and I will include them. Thanks!

Hi evereyone!

Wish I could join those of you who are going to dinner tonight at the Fishers Tavern (?) I hope to hear all about it. It sounds like it will be a nice gathering.

Anne, our dry season was years long and last year we had a wonderful rainy season. While most of Florida has had some rain now, SW Florida where I live is still about 5 inches below where it should be. Iam sure it will be coming and hopefully stop all of the fires!!

Bonnie, have you had much rain near Orlando where you live?

Louie, are you the mystery guest at tonights dinner???

Perry, did your fingers fall off from typing so much yet?? Kidding of course !!!

All the hotels we found are posted on the Home Page.
They range from The Embassy, The Hilton, The Clarion
and the prices are posted. Most of them come with a continental breakfast.
