Val has that Reflector over on the school years stuff. Yep...I remember Mr. Kolar.Mr. Kolar and I had a love/hate relationship. He was absolutely the best French teacher I had in the 10 years I took French. But he and I were like acid and water.

Ah Mr. Selway..wasn't he a math teacher? If so, I believe he was the SOB that accused Shirley Hyatt and I of cheating on a math test. Now keep in mind...she was sitting in the front on the right side of the room and I was sitting in the back on the left side of the room. Did he think we had ESP? He actually was going to fail us on a test because our answers were so similar (both wrong and right). I remember being SO frightened. BUT then I got brave and reminded him (duh) where we were seated in the class and politely asked him HOW he thought we copied from one another. Oh brother.

What kind of work does your son want to find. Is he coming to Florida at all? You said he does not want to live with his mother again but is he coming back to the sunshine state? Hey. post a pic and maybe I know someone he can be fixed up with in Fort Myers.

Louie,

Have Sandy and I rendered you speechles this week? We talked and agreed you have been AWFULLY laid back this week!!

My son never lived in Florida. I left Ohio 12 yrs ago and he chose to live with "daddy dearest".

He is a Business Analyst, who is graduating Magna Cum Loude(sp) on Sunday from Kent and is having a very hard time getting interviews.

Maybe someone can help him?

AND CONGRATULATIONS TO US, ALSO (for kicking their butts through it all)!!!!!

To Bonnie and Debbie and also the classmates who suggested their names regarding my daughter's move to Orlando. Thank you so much for being there!!

Bonnie, do you remember cutting out paper dolls at your house on some rainy days when we were going to Taylor?

John M. Lader

Perry, did you name your son Errol after Arol Leiberman (sic)whoes younger brother is Jeff?

05/15/09 02:06 PM #1546

Perry Eisner

John--yes for some reason I was thinking Girl,so Sheryl
was in my mind, and next thing you know its a boy ,and I thought of Arol --I guess since Arol and younger brother howard both played baseball like I did.
Maybe it would be simpler if I said I named him after Errol flynn-----John -though yes is answer. Arols younger brother I knew was Howard Arol was closer to my brother's Martys age---Marty was shotputter at hts through over 62 feet. Marty also did discuss and fullback on football team.
well I'm off to bartend a prom---lots of shirley temples

Whats up amigo?
Rockets still hanging in by a thread.

Hey folks, miss you.
Just didn't have any drama experiences.

I'll jump back in on different subject matter.

Sandy - You need to post some kitchen makover pictures. Was this a Ty Pennington deal?

05/15/09 09:33 PM #1550

Harla Harris (Michael)

Perry,
I think that is so funny. I named her Geneen after my Grandmother. I spelled it so differently, because I felt that I had a strange name, so her name should be spelled strangely. I also spelled it somewhat phonetically. I like the way you spelled your daughter's name. Your son's name is also very cool.
I also like the idea of the facebook. Has anyone done anything?

05/15/09 09:39 PM #1551

Harla Harris (Michael)

Sandy,
That Snickers Pie sounds absolutely lushes. I wish I could go, but I have to work. Maybe another time we can go, or I'll just go up and get some. You made me hungry and I don't eat in the evening, after dinner. I guess I'll have take it. Tomorrow is another day.

Joel
you sound like you are doing some great things--our class was so big we probably never saw each other---but now we can learn about all classmates----cooolll
I did play poker with larry katz

05/16/09 02:16 AM #1555

Mitchell Berg (Berg)

Perry - If you played poker with Larry you probably lost. He, Bert Engel, and Bruce Talisman were great gamblers. Larry moved to Vegas and became a dealer (cards - Louie) and later reservations manager for Caesars.

Joel - Thanks for the sports comments. The Cavs are awesome this year and great to watch. I think the Lakers have a good chance of knocking the Rockets out but I am still hopeful for my team.

Bonnie - Major congrats on your son Aaron. And also to the other parents of graduates. Besides being very proud of your kids, you just got a raise now that they are out of school.

05/16/09 08:12 AM #1556

Perry Eisner

thanx --Mitch---actually the big winner also in those poker games was Larry Eder(a good friend)Yeah I remember Bert and others at card games.I didn't do too well, wasn't good bluffer ,ha,ha. Though when I played with charles or Bob K in other poker games,I did win as they weren't good bluffers either (ha ha) I think a fellow rooseveltite Gary axelrods' brother went to Las Vegas for various things(not sure exactly) thanx for info on larry k
Mitch how was your card game if you played( me ,you, louie, steven, charles, start of a good game ,ladies also invited)

also congrats to all graduates, mine was last year.

Scott Poffenberger (Poffenberger)

Hello All...

We had a lovely lunch at the Mad Greek (Where Damon's & the Brown Derby were in our day)at Fairmont and Cedar Friday. Donna Kaufman Walter, Joanne Amodeo Rinella and Jim Samuels Samuels joined me for a very pleasant meal. It is a real treat for me to get to know classmates whom I just passed in the hall and re-connect w/ those I knew.

Special thanks to them and the others on the reunion committee who are doing all of the "heavy lifting" to make our October event happen.

Thanks also to Kent Johnson who, although he could not join us, arranged for a tasty bottle of Spanish bubbly to be delivered to our table. Nice surprise, Kent... Very nice choice, by the way.

Shall we try this again next month? How's June 19th? I vote yes.
