Harla Harris Michael

Since high school, I went to college (Ohio State, Cleveland State), and got my degree in special education. I taught for 30 years, mainly with the CCBMR, and then retired. Three years before retiring, I got my masters, on line, in teaching and learning. Yes, retired and went back to work. I got married and was married for under 8 years. He has since passed away and I never remarried. The greatest thing that came out of the marriage is my wonderful adult daughter. Geneen received her degree in educational studies. She is working at Joann Fabrics. Yep, she is still living at home with our pet cat, Skittles. I am now working at Eddie Bauer at Beachwood. It's funny, I am working with Maxine Arbitman's daughter. She is the manager and originally hired me. She is so sweet and kind. I hope I get to see more people from our graduating class.
I have kept up with our website (wow, it's wonderful), and reconnected with many of my high school friends. Thanks for the website and my reconnected friends.

I remember Dr Lois Hutchings for biology. I think her class was in the new wing. I was in a class with Harley Berger and myself. She often would call me Harley and Harley-Harla. We often corrected her, but she didn't seem to be able to get it right. It frustrated her. I thought it was funny that a teacher with a Dr. before her name would not know who was who, and that Harley was a males' name, and Harla (maybe) was a girls' name.
