Scott Poffenberger (Poffenberger)

Hello all...

It's a beautiful day in Cleveland... even if the Caves caved again... As a Cleveland sports fan, I'm used to it.

Had an interesting experience this past week which might give you all a chuckle...

Was driving home from work on a beautiful afternoon... Had all of the windows open on my truck when a large (well, it FELT large) insect flew down the back of my shirt. I could feel it crawling on my back. I quickly pulled into the first driveway I could, hopped out of the truck and pulled off my shirt... A lawn crew guy was standing by the end of the drive just watching me w/ his mouth hanging open... I then pulled off my undershirt, walked up to him, turned around and asked "Is there a bug on my back?" He just stood there - open mouthed and slowly shook his head "no".

I then regained my composure ( I HATE bee stings)and started laughing. He just continued to stare as if I were totally crazy. "I bet that was the wierdest thing that happens to you today", I told him. He didn't respond...I got back in my truck & drove on...

Enjoy your weekend, all!

Scott Thats hilarious . Stupid stuff happens like that happens to me all the time . One time my horn started blaring at the intersection of Mayfield & Brainard and it wouldn't turn off ! Nothing I could do so I kept driving . My kids ducked out of the car & ran home .

Well I guess it would have been a heck of a lot funnier if it had been you who pulled off her shirt instead of Scott and asked the lawn guy if he saw anything unusual!!!

Good one Val! I could see Sandy doing that!

Sandy check out the new pics...especially the one of you lying on the ground in the winter!! If I remember right I took those pics just after a basketball game with Monticello I think. Jack Topel is in one of them that isn't up yet. But even on that one you were lying down!!!
Your horn story reminds me of when my car alarm was going while I was driving!!

Val, I like you don't care one way or another about teams generally, but Joyce with her wonderful enthusiasum got me hooked for the CAVS as well. (She literally cried for the Beatles back when.) I'm so sorry. I will stay away from calling her today!!

Scott, were you doing one of those "get the bug off me dances" while taking your shirt off?!

Clare, I'm fine....just have to wonder...not that I'm superstitous or anything...if they hadn't put us on the cover of SI????? It was a good ride.

Clare, I don't follow sports at all, had no idea who the cavs were until I heard you all talking about them and asked my husband, and then I realized, OH...the CLEVELAND Cavaliers! I better check this out!

Val Iberall (O'Connor)

Clare I don't have any idea which picture you are referring to with Jack Topel in it. Could you email it to me again? I thought I put them all on except for a few snow shots that you could hardly see the faces in them.

Hang on, I just looked at your original email, I see two pics I didn't see...let me put these on and you tell me who is in them.

Sandy Beksa (White)

Clare I loved all the pic's. I'm so happy you saved them . We were such clowns ! I loved Roosevelt .
Val once again a great big thank you .

I gotta tell you guys these " scrolls " are
killing my carpel tunnel .
ps Jack Topel is in one up there already but Val & Clare can work that out

Sandy, yeah Val just put them up and I already emailed her with the names. I will either send the originals to whoever wants them (Louie I didn't forget about the football pic) or as Joyce wants me to bring them all to reunion and give them out then. Either way I still have more to post but it takes time I don't have much of. However, it will be done. This is the year I'm downsizing as much of my "stuff" as possible so they're up for grabs.

Shelly do you want me to mail to your home the homeroom picture? Let me know your address.

Bob I was mistaken you were only in my High School homeroom. That makes 1 mistake for this decade + in the 80s!

All the Noble elementary schools are missing names totally...Some of you must have been in those classes...And someone must recognize some of those faces. See if you can tell me some names of people. Thanks!

Val Iberall (O'Connor)

I just caught up with putting all the photos and names in that everyone has sent me so keep em coming. I just scrolled down through K-12 and there are still plenty of question marks. If anyone knows anyone in any of the classes let me know, even those of you who are just checking in for the first time. There are plenty of pages of photos to look through, all the links are on the left side. And there are still plenty of you who haven't updated your profiles yet.

You guys ruined all my fun - I was going to say that I have had bugs get stuck in my cleavage a number of times while driving. Talk about feeling big, especially when those wings were fluttering. The poor little guy suffocated to death.

Anyway, about our CAVS. I have my older brother in Ft Myers and my nephew in Atlanta and both of them rooted for the CAVS through the series. They never forgot Cleveland either. Not only should we proud of the CAVS for doing so good this year, we should also be proud of ourselves for enduring all the disappointments we have had in the last twenty-some years, with the drive and the fumble and the Indian's world series fiascos. But, one of these years it will be our turn and we will be the proudest fans ever!!. I just hope we won't be in our rockers in a nursing home and won't know the difference!!

They were a lot smaller then they felt. The wings fluttering kind of felt good. You did ask for to hear some of my perverted stuff. What can I say? My life is not that exciting!!!
