For those of you who may be going to the Indians game Friday night come early to Flannery's for Happy Hour at 5 pm. Steve Fisher and Ed Brannon will be there. Even if you aren't going, stop in anyways.

Wish I have been able to come to the different dinners and lunches. Why are they all when we are traveling? We will be back from Hawaii on July 16th and hopefully there will be another dinner or lunch I can make it to. We are home the rest of the summer as I have to have minor foot surgery on the 20th.

Chuck: I will call when we get to Honolulu.

Charles, (Chuck) Balcher

At Heights, I remember giving an oral demonstration, in front of the class, about how to solve a math problem. I got the wrong answer. This was after Irv B. gave a demonstration about how he likes to fight. I got in a fight with a younger class member in the boy's locker room in 12th. grade. Although I think I knocked him out, it almost broke my hand. He never deserved it. I learned that even winners get hurt. In Mr. Yannick's music class, at Roosevelt, in order to pass, we had to sing a song in front of the class. I was able to postpone my solo, until I was the second to last person. It was so embarrassing. As a sidenote, I am unable to send messages, on this site, for the past four days, because of a computer glitch, or website problem.

Hey Joel, Good luck with Monroe. 58 is only a number.
Bonnie, I am a great napper. For first 10 years my kids thought i went out to lunch and took naps for a living.

Joel, good luck in "jail" and I'm sure you will be doing great work the next couple of weeks. I'll catch you next time I'm up your way. It also sounds like you may not be able to come here for opening day at the Del Mar races...where the surf meets the turf?!

Louie, Louie, Louie.

Chuck, I wish I could say...."I'll call you when I arrive in Honolulu"! It'll be awhile! I just keep forgetting to buy those lotto tickets and then when I do, I forget to check if I won....eh what was I saying....?

Speaking of naps...it isn't a good day if I can't get one in between 2 and 4. Thank God it is only my age like all of us!!

Chuck,

I am smiling about your music solo at Roosevelt because I lived in FEAR of modern dance at Hts. The girls rotated activities every quarter in P.E. and I DREADED being drafted into Modern Dance. I was able to dodge it until my senior year. OH HOW I HATED IT...kind of like asking me to streak through Public Square, the humiliation would be the same. Had to perform a modern dance to pass. Needless to say, to this day, I wonder if they are still laughing!!

Yes Clare....Louie..Louie ..Louie...says it all!!!

Joel:
Monroe should be a huge success.
Make sure you take care of yourself on those long recording sessions.

Friends:
Sorry I haven't been on the boards as much. Writers Block, and an addiction to Mafia Wars on Facebook. Join my mafia and let's have some fun.

Miss you all.

Chuck,
I will never forget even one excruciating moment of my solo, not even the part where the whole class laughed at something Mr. Y did behind my back while playing the piano. It was really unfair to make untalented people perform. Seriously, one of the worst days of my school career. No matter what any of my children had to do in in their classes, nothing ever compared.

Does anyone remember when the Roosevelt home ec teacher slipped and fell in class? It was so hard for me to hold back the laughter once I realized she was ok. I guess Mr. Y was my karma.

I missed checking in for a few weeks and it seems I missed a lot. Beth Nehamkin and I met in Sarasota to reminisce after about 40 years - we go back to Gracemount Elementary. Lots of fun.

I'm sorry I can't get to Cleveland before the reunion. These mini-reunions sound like lots of fun.

It's good to see a few more people updating their profiles and checking in. Hi Mindy B. and Linda F.

Let us know if you're planning a Disney World trip this Summer.

Are people staying at the hotels at all for the reunion? Which ones?

Bonnie Hirsch (Lauer)

hey...hey...hey Louie

Remember you spend 2 wks of December here in Florida, not working and napping around shopping. That is why you are in the car, while KB is shopping!

06/25/09 09:05 AM #2125

Louis Berman

bonnie
that is why we go to FL for the siesta's kb likes to shop between those hours no one in line and only if she can find a store open

bonnie

does the state of FL have an elder cocker card

06/25/09 11:21 AM #2130

Bonnie Hirsch (Lauer)

Louie

Every state has an alta cocker card. That is how people that do not work take advantage of early bird specials and discounts on Tuesdays at stores that KB shops at.
