Do any of you remember the Stardust Club? My brother, the left-wing Wood family on Meadowbrook, and Duncan Marks were the young high school and college kids that ran that Rock and Roll disco in the late 60's. Jane or Janet Snow gave us a great review in the Plaindealer and we brought in some great rock groups that appeared on local TV and would do a live performance at our Club. No alcohol and, membership was required so that we, under 18, could stay out late. The Club was across Cedar from Heights. T'was in the basement adjacent to Wally's and the Cedar-Lee theater. Mowbey's was just across a narrow pedestrian walkway between Lee and the parking lot behind the commercial establishments. We printed a great poster. Probably a hundred or two. It pictured a broken record. Our motto or slogan was this: "Records are not what they're cracked up to be...dance to live rock music at Club Stardust.....Cedar and Lee."
