After graduating from Heights High for the 2nd time in 2004 (30 years) as a Business/Vocational/Co-op Coordinator and Educator, I decided to continue with my passion for singing, acting, and dancing on stage, T.V. and in Movies. Summer of 2017, I did 3 movies: "Eat Like A Bird", a documentary on eating disorders--Production Assistant and movie extra; "White Boy Rick" starring Matthew McConaughey--as a movie extra; and "Hey Mr. Postman", a comedy directed and produced by Cleveland, OH locals. In this movie, I am the Mother of the main character Brian Lincoln. I continue to sing with my church choir Voices of Koinonia and have recently joined a show choir: NoteOriety Show Choir of Solon, OH. Our R&B band, AfterThought & the NuSoul Band is still singing around the city of Cleveland and PA for both public and private affairs and hope to do more in the future.
It was strange going back to Hts. and trying to call the teachers by their first names...however, my first question was to Mr. Babic about those passes that Morris Topper & Louis Berman forged for all of us...yes, they found them in the locker; I believe after we graduated. August of 2017, the retirees were invited to view our new high school before the public...Wow! What a change and oh so state-of-the-art! I posted pictures on Facebook but you will have to see it for yourself.
As one of the 25 Black Students attending CHHS back in the late 60s, it was quite an eye-opening experience. In our class there were 10 Black students out of 1,019 grads. Other students were friendly but distance in most cases. I have made more '69 friends in my latter years. I am thankful that we have changed to includes those that we may not have even spoken to back in the 60s. Our reunions have been wonderful. Thank you to all of you who have worked and continue to work on our reunions and bring us together to share our lives and our memories.

Dale and I became close around 2009. I regret that we had so little time together. She was so looking forward to attending our 50th Class Reunion. I know that Dale is resting in peace because she had an opportunity to live her best life!
I didn't even knon that Fanny had passed away. She was in my homeroom and I remember her being friendly to me.
Ava's backyard and my backyard connected in University Heights. Ava and her brother David would cut through our backyard to get to Heights and back home everyday and my father would always catch them. My first band experience was with David in the late 60s but I did not become friends with Ava until the late 90s. She came to hear our band play at Rick's Cafe in Chagrin Falls and we reconnected. I would spend many days at her home working with her on several projects. Ava always had several projects that she was working on and being very successful in doing so right from the comforts of home. It was great getting to know her better and hearing some of her stories from our younger years. I miss the fellowship we shared.
I will always remember that I spent the one day I cut school with Thalia. She was always so much fun and would make me laugh. That particular day was close to graduation so we couldn't get in too much trouble (as per Thalia). Oh Margaret Johns was with us too. She took us to the cemetary to meet her friend John (a real piece of eye-candy) who was the grounds keeper. We talked to him and spent most of the day rolling down the hills and just laughing and enjoying each other!!
