I left Greater Cleveland for college, for a stint in state government and graduate school. Since then, I've lived downtown, University Heights and Shaker Heights. While a UH resident I coached youth hockey at the CH rink. The minute we moved to Shaker the head of the youth hockey program there tried to recruit me to coach in the Shaker system. Trust me, moving to Shaker was very traumatic for this Heights kid.

Bill Arnold and I hitch hiked home one time. The guy who picked us up had cigarette butts strewn thoughout his car. I never hitched again. I don't know about Bill.

Do you remember seeing the Turtles and the James Gang in separate concerts at Heights? I just couldn't understand all the fuss people were making about the James Gang's guitar player...
