Another's whose name is familiar but we never traveled in the same circles. I've lived in Arizona for 35 years and had no idea that he did to. RIP and prayers for his family.
Just yesterday, September 28, I was thinking about Roy on what would have been his 63rd birthday. Many happy memories of our friendship starting at Junior High, playing golf together summer after summer at Aurora, Chardon Lakes and Manikiki. Teammates on the Heights golf team, and best friends beyond that. Roy was our team captain for those 3 years, and in his sophmore year he won the Lake Eire League championship besting all other high school golfers from across Northeast Ohio. He won many other junior championships in Ohio. His golf swing was a thing of beauty, a combinationship of grace and power. Watching him hit the golf ball was awe inspiring. Many, many great memories that I will cherish forever. My most sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Nockengust family. Dear Lord Jesus please bless Roy and all of his family and friends who loved him dearly. Keep him and love him Dear Jesus, untill we meet again. Kevin Murphy.
Many fun times together with Roy, Tony Marotta, Terry Dee, Mike Anselmo, Tony Marino and others. I wish I had stayed in touch with "Nock" after high school but like many others we tend to go our separate ways.
I did not know he lived out here in Arizona, where we have lived for many years.
