Dear Classmates, We will be displaying Junior High and Elementary School pictures at the reunion.  We have lots of pictures from Roosevelt, Monticello and Wiley but we need more from the Roxboro area (Junior and Elementary) schools. If you can post them on this forum or send them in an email to me that would be helpful  - then I can make copies for the reunion.  If you want to bring them to show us at the reunion that would be great too but please keep track of them yourself.  From the Roxboro neighborhood area we only have 3 elementary school pictures and they are all from Fairfax (I think).               Thanks for your help. Dear Peggy,

Thank you so much for all your hard work and caring. You and the entire committee are doing such an amazing job, and are making everyone feel so welcome. I am so excited to attend!

I have some questions about the activities: What time are the parties on Friday and on Saturday? Are they at the hotel? What is the attire? Is it 'cocktail attire' for Saturday evening? I see that you have luncheons for some groups on Friday. Are there any gatherings, or luncheons, on Saturday afternoon for Boulevard Elementary School graduates, or Roosevelt Junior High graduates like me?  I haven't been to Cleveland for 20 years, since our 30th reunion, so this is really exciting to be able to see everybody, and take a trip down memory lane. I don't want to miss anything. I hope I can recognize people and others will recognize me. Will there be name tags?

Thank you again for everything you are doing to make this such a success.

Best wishes,

Iris Vivian Varga Goldman

Hello to all!
Felt compelled to send this message;
It is truly amazing that over 100 Jan '65 Heights graduates are attending next wknd. This absolutely would not have been the case if Peggy and the entire committee hadn't worked countless hours, been organized beyond belief AND truly cared!!! Thanks to all of you!!!
'Just saying'...had a couple of hrs to kill last Saturday between a wedding ceremony and reception I attended in Akron, so went into a Halloween superstore. Saw some awesome masks that I seriously considered. Then I reconsidered...one purpose of a reunion is to "SEE" everyone. I nixed the mask idea. 'Just saying'!

All of us on the commitee worked our "tushes" off,  but had a ball in the process.  We are so pleased to see the turnout.  This event is a once in a lifetime occasion.  Re-connecting will be a super experience for all fortunate enough to attend.  Others, who are unable to visit, will be missed.  Hopefully, we can all meet on another occasion - like a cruise :)  ????

We have all journeyed "far & wide" in our lives.  This is a stop on our journey where we can remember our good times.   Thanks to all of you who encouraged your significant others ( & YOURSELVES) to visit.  Hopefully, we can continue to share our journeys by phone, Facebook, email, & whatever our else our technical world discovers.

May we all enjoy GOOD HEALTH , HAPPINESS & the good memories. Bless you all & please try to keep in touch.  I think this site will remain available for communication AFTER the reunion  !!!!  So enjoy !

In response to Iris and others:  parties begin at 7PM both nights. Both parties are at the hotel.  Regarding dress: Friday night is what ever you want but costumes and/or masks are preferred.  For Saturday on the invite it says Dressy Casual (I will not turn you away for wearing jeans - that's just me).  There has not been a big plan for luncheons on Friday or Saturday but if you are at the Hotel some people will be meeting in the brunch bar so feel free to join them  (over 20 people are staying at the hotel that I know are using the special rates  which they told me was starting at $119).  Some could not get their reservation in early so they may have had to pay more. There are probably a lot of people staying at the hotel due to the great extras (daily brunch, cocktails each evening which is included in price).  Hotel also has a pool and I think a workout room but do check out the website for that info.  Looking forward to seeing you!  Pegsmiley

To Lenny S,  the committee appreciates your comments and hopes you are doing well.  One correction at this time - there are over 140 people coming to Friday night and only 20 less on Saturday. Our turnout keeps on astounding me. And it may change again as it does each day.   Also I would like to personally thank those who have contributed donations to the event which will help us to continue this website and post pictures after the reunion on this site.  This site will work as a memory book for those who could not attend and want to contact classmates.

I understand that you and there may be other that do not like the mask idea - you do not have to wear it all night!  It is just a fun thing to do - "Just saying"  blush.   Looking forward to seeing you and all classmates with or without a mask and/or  costume,      yes     Peg

Dear Stan Lee and fellow classmates,

What better gift for your daughter as a young adult than the gift of independence, and what better way to celebrate your new life than to help provide your daughter with a joyous new life as well. I hope you do not mind my taking this information to the entire class along with an idea I have been ruminating about since I observed the unbridled enthusiasm at the reunion.

I believe we see each other now as rather like a family of origin. As such I am sure that each of us would do for others with a need when we could. Therefore I think we might wish to do two things. First I know that there are others who would be happy to help the Sunshine House create independent living for your daughter if they knew more about it, had an address to send gifts and understood the nuances of such a gift. So Stanley help each of us to learn more by posting here along with the photo of the residents and an address to send a gift please.

Finally to all our classmates may I suggest that the lawyers among us help to create a 501(c) 3 with which we can officially donate to those of us who have a large need when such a need arises. All of us had a wonderful time ( thanks Peggy, Barbara and committee) but there were many with a private pain or need or those who did not show up because of help we might have provided if we had/have an ongoing fund for such things. I am happy to co-ordinate such an effort. No office need exist to do this. We might need some to volunteer as board members but beyond that it is not at all a difficult thing to manage. It is a channel for our love and enthusiasim for our home community, our roots, and our friends.

I will wait to see who responds to this plea to organize our own special help fund for our own Heights High class. I hope I don't wait in vain....
xxoo

The reunion was amazing.  So great to see everyone I should have gone to High School with.

When you look at the pictures I posted you'll notice they're all black & white.  Somehow every picture looked better that way.  I think it had to do with the lighting and color in the room.  Anyway, if anyone wants a color version of any of the photos email me.  richard@rklproductions.com

I'm also going to post a few shots from the last reunion I found.  Also, some very oldies but goodies.

Can't wait for the next one.

Peggy, Barbara and reunion committee,

You all did an outstanding job.  It was the best planned reunion.  I enjoyed seeing friends I have lost touch with over the years.  Our PJ party with the Hefner group was a plus.  (Thanks Torchy).  We are all bunnies. I miss you all and hope to see you all again soon.  Penny, give dates and I will be in Florida.

Hi, Classmates,

Is it possible to identify the people in the photos?  Although many of you look just the same, there are still quite a few people whose names elude me.  Please help your visually-impaired friend.  For example, who's standing next to Ruth Bergrin?  I don't recognize her.  Sorry to be such a bother.

You all look like you were having the time of your lives.

Thanks to all the photographers!
