May her memory be as a blessing.  RIP, Francie.

I will always remember Francie's singing voice; it was like a bell ringing--so clear! What a distinctive member of Girls Glee Club.  A beautiful girl!

Francia was an early crush of mine in junior high.  I remember a sweet smile and gentle laugh.

Ha, Bernie, thanks for sharing your comment, because Francine was one of my earliest crushes, as well.

We shared home room with Mr. Caimi.  I always wondered if she really was the niece of Efrem Zimbalist, jr., the star of the popular "FBI" TV show in that era.

Gary and Bernie, Please add me to the "Crush on Francie" group. Fortunately, I sung with her many times in Men's Chorus/Girl Glee Club.

I think many of us had a crush on Francia. (A crush back then often meant you didn't have the nerve to ask a particular girl for a date.) I remember seeing Francia act and sing in a musical at Cain Park opposite Paul Peterson. You may recall Paul played the son on the Donna Reed Show. During the show he sang "My Dad," a moving song many of you might remember. Francia and Paul shared a nice kiss during the show.  She was the talk of the school for days and we (guys) could only imagine.  I do remember hearing she was either a cousin or niece of Efram Zimbalist Jr.  May she rest in peace.
