It's good to hear that everyone is doing so well. I can't believe it's been eight years already. Where has the time gone? I'm living in Lorain now and working at Kohlmyers Sporting goods store as an assistant supervisor in the shipping and receiving department. Still single and looking. lol. I can't wait to see everyone at the reunion. Take care of yourselves. This was a really awesome idea. Hope to hear from all of you guys and gals.

Hello everyone!

This has nothing to do with the class but thought it would encourage everyone...

Bill B. Crosby:

"There is a theory of human behavior that says people subconsciously retard their own growth. They come to rely on the clinches and habits. Once they reach the age of their own personal comfort with the world, they stop learning and their brian runs idle for the rest of their days. They may progress organizationally, they may be ambitious and eager, and they may even work night and day, but they learn nothing."

What Bill was saying here was we need tostay teachable. It is a tragedy when we allow ourselves to get in a rut and never climb out. If we are not interested in nothing. Then nothing will interest us. That is how learning stops. When we allow learning to stop we miss out on everything God wants from us.

Teachable people are fully engaged with life. Thye get excited about things. They are interested in discovery, discussion, application, and growth.

----Successful people view learning as those who are unsuccessful. ----

I am not saying unsuccessful people are not able to learn or are to dumb to learn. It is just that people that learn have a desire and discipline to learn new things, and that is the diffferent between the two.

Sidney J. Harris said

"A winner knows how much he still has to learn, even when he is considered an expert by others. A loser wants to be considered an expert by others, before he has learned enough to know how little he knows."

Botton lines....It is all about the attitude of the person. If you feel you know it all then you will learn nothing when the oppurtunity arises.

It is remarkable how much a person has to learn, before he realizes how little he knows.

STAY TEACHABLE !!!!

I hope this finds you, and blesses you !!!

Sorry I wrote one more...feel this may suite the room better !!!

Success is forgetting

I believe Paul said it best in Phillipians.

I press on toward the goal to reach the prize ......

Pressing on to the goal. What goal is that? The goal of success. The goal of accomplishment. Pressing simply means to move forward, and not looking back.

I remember a couple of months ago my little 13 year old brother was running track in Junior High School and was at track practice. The practice was on an outside track so there were people watching the team practice.

It was teams turn to run. He lined up like normal. The gun sounded and He jetted. I mean He got off that line fast. He was running and was well in the lead. That was until he heard a scream "Tyyyyyyllller" !!! He in curiousness looked back to see who it was, and well He tripped over his own feet and feel flat on his face. The worse part was He lost the heat. Why did this happen? He allowed what was behind Him to distract him from the goal ahead of him.

How many times have we allowed the past to distract us for the goals or desires in which we have? We allow past relationships to affect future relationships. How many time we allow past mistake to afftect future desicions?

Holding on to things we can no longer change only stops what God wants to give us now. It is hard to grab onto something with your hands are filled with meaningless junk. Why would you want to hold on to hurt, pain, regret, failure? When God has so much of happiness, joy, and success.

Jeriemiah 29:11

He knows the plans he has for us. They are plans of great hope and a promising future. We just need not to look behind at who we use to be, and look forward to who we will be !!!

We spend to much time crying over spilt milk, and things we no longer can change. We need to give more attention to the most important assignment we have every morning. That is the choice of our attitude !!!

I got home today I feel asleep, and recieved a phone call. the guy said "Angel this is Don from Lucas Automotive, and we found that we need to replace the whole tierod system on your driver side. The whole thing snapped in half. Now the cost with labor and taxes will be $370.00."

That is not a good thing to wake up too. I mean I knew it was going to cost me to fix it, but I thought it was going to be $200.00, but to my surprise it cost alomst double of what I budgeted. My attitude sucked at first. I complained and said "THAT SUCKS". Then I thought about it and realised I can change the fact of what happened. Sure I am spending hard earned money I saved. I still couldnt change that what happened. Once I let go I fel better. Letting go of the past is the best thinng to do !!!

Stop be held back by the wieght of your past mistakes and desicions. You can decided right now to make best of what happened. The bible says God turns the bad into good for those who love him. Right, now make the desicion to not be influenced by people, and stand firm for what you dream, and want in your life !!!

I leave you with this simple statement:

YOU WILL NOT SUCCED IN LIFE WITHOUT OVERCOMING YOUR PAST.

I hope this helps you and blesses you.........

Angel

Just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone. I had never noticed the tab for this bulletin and I registered a long time ago. This was an awesome idea! Thanks to all who set it up. I never see anyone from high school except the few friends that I kept so it's really neat to catch up on everyones life on here. I check often to see who has been added. I am willing to hang out at a get together before the reunion if anyone else wants to. I live an hour away, but teach in the old neighborhood.

Hello everyone, I was informed that unfortunately the Classical Academy is being discontinued next year. The reason for this decission is because too many students were interested in the program. I think that's kind of counter-productive. Why would you want to stop something that is such a great benefit. I am asking all of those who had AP classes and Classical Academy to write the new principal Ms. Seager and try to encourage her to keep the program. Because of Classical Academy I feel that I was prepared for college, and working in a high school, I see the need for programs like these in all schools. The kids today are not college ready and we were. Please join me in this quest. Oh yeah, can I get an Amen, that Mr. Walsh is gone! Hallelujah!

I don't like whoever added the video that "Bush stole the election" in 2000...Big homie won that shit fair...and the following election...

02/04/10 10:59 PM #30

Monica Occhetti

Uh...I think the videos come pre-populated with the web site. No one is trying to be a Bush Basher.

At any rate, this website is FAR superior than Classmates.com that makes you pay for "Gold Membership". I am currently subscribed to it just because the reunion is coming up, but hopefully in the future if we all stay on board with Facebook and this here website, we wont need any other sites!

Stay tuned, everybody...Feb.8th is the day you will get pricing and venue details regarding the reunion. I assure you the reunion committee has been working hard to ensure you will enjoy an economical, yet classy, reunion!
