Hot dog Louie of course!  Then Callahan's (which is now gone)

Callahan's - In recent years, before they closed, I would have to stop for a Callahan's hotdog whenever I visited NJ.  I even dragged my husband there about five years ago (he grew up in Queens and didn't know any better)...

I liked Callahan's for the hot dogs and YooHoo and Hiram's for the fries. But, I loved Hot Dog Louie's on the grounds of CPHS. Especially with those 20 min lunches.

Yes, Barbara  Hiram's is still there but Callahan's is no more.  Hope to see you at the reunion.

Callahan's was definitely my favorite!  Does anyone remember the name of the hotdog and hamburger place on Bergen Blvd?  I think it is a spanish restaurant now.....

OK All:

In the "Do you remember?" dept.   Does anybody remember when Bergen Blvd. in front of Venezia's was a gravel road?  Now I know some of us are MUCH!! older than others (except of course the ladies who all look like their year book pictures) but,  what color was Venezia's painted and after it was torn down the nice brick burger place was the what?  _  _ _ _ _    _ _ _ _ _ _

Vinezia's was green. I delivered the Hudson Dispatch to it every morning. I moved to Pal Park from Italy in 1958 and the road was already paved...so, you must indeed be a lot older than I!

Aldo, I have a vague memory of an assembly at Lindbergh School where Mr. Katz introduced a new boy from Italy who then sang something like "Take Me Back to Sorrento". Was that you?
