RE: Clio High School Class of 1978—40th Reunion

Dear Classmates:
Some of our friends live far away from our hometown of Clio and rarely see classmates. Some live in or near Clio and see classmates regularly. Unfortunately, some of us haven’t seen each other since our 10th year reunion, some since the 20th, some since our 25th, some since the very memorable 30 year reunion,
some since our 35th and very sad to say, some since we graduated. We need to change that. This is everyone’s chance to see all living classmates and honor those who are no longer with us as we come together to celebrate 40 years after leaving Clio High School.

It is a strange feeling to know that 40 years ago we embraced, promised to keep in touch and then
departed on our wonderful journeys of life. Let’s share those journeys with old friends. We encourage all of you to make plans to come together with your classmates and share the memories that we experienced during our years together. Let’s share those old memories together as we did at our 30th class reunion and like we did at our 30th, create new memories.

We are planning for an October event but want all of you to help plan it. Please let us know if you are
able to work on the planning committee. If not, we will plan for you, and for your attendance. We still
have our website at www.clio78.net. I just left the site and was pleased to see the great comments on there. It also reminded me of people who meant the world to me that are no longer with us.
We are posting this letter to Facebook. Once you see it, please go on to the site at www.clio78.net to let us know of your attendance and if you can help plan.

Everyone who goes to the site and update your address and email will receive a nice memento at our first meeting. Also, tell everyone you see and talk with about the event. In approximately 30 days we will have our first meeting. More details to come regarding location and time for the first meeting and the event.

I know it has been 40 years, but don’t count the years, count the memories—because—We’ve only just begun…
