Elaine Bell

Like many other classmates I am divorced (2 times). I am now gainfully employed and keep busy working 5 days a week for Comprehensive Addictions Program as their Program Services Assistant. In the past I have been a real estate loan officer and real estate appraiser and loved both positions. I gave that up when my mother needed my help and since then life has been a little different. I have my own home, which keeps me busy, 5 dogs (all rescues, sizes, ages and breeds) and 2 parrots that I love. I love being with my '64 Chix having lunch when my work schedule allows it and seeing a lot of my '64 classmates planning the reunions. I have 3 adult grandchildren who are all doing well and one younger grandson who is 14 me keeps me busy watching his swim meets. I spend as much time as I can supporting all his endeavors.

When I was in high school my mother worked there through my junior year and had all her "watch dogs" looking out for me. I was a fairly good student and became a Letter Girl in my junior year. I had so much fun marching for the football games, parades and band reviews. I never will forget when we all waited for Hershel Noonkester to drive his 1st car into the parking lot Wow! How proud he was and how happy we all were for him. Also, watching Mr. Kasner and our high school principle, Mr. St. John when we were all excused from school two hours early. That was classic! Otherwise, I was just a student that studied and kept my grades up so I wouldn't get grounded for a semester by my father if I didn't. I have alot of things I would have done differently but hindsight is always 20-20. God has a plan for everyone and I believe my life played out as He planned it. Clovis as a city was my way of life and my children were raised there. I would not have had it any other way. My friendships before high school at Weldon Elementary and those made while in high school are largely responsible for who I am today.
