Marlene Carpenter Godwin passed away on April 26, 1986. She, her husband John and daughter Tiffany were all killed in a car wreck. It was very tragic. Marlene was pregnant with her second child. They are all in heaven with Jesus. It was something I didn't think I would ever get over. To lose a whole family in a split second... Marlene and I had been friends since the 7th grade. I think about them often and continue to exchange Christmas cards with her parents every year. She was a special person and friend!
