Graduated from Va Tech in 1971 with a degree in Economics and a lot of hours in computer science. Took a job in the information technology field. I have been in tech ever since. In 1984 made a career change from IT to Sales. I was selling hardware and mostly software until 2004 when I lost my last salaried job. Made another career change in 2004 when I started doing Real Estate full time. During the 90's and early 2000's I had purchased houses to hold as rentals which keeps me busy managing them. I was divorced for the 2nd time in 2004 and have been single since then.
School Story:

My dad was in the Math Dept at the Air Force Academy and we lived there twice, in Denver and Colorado Springs from 1956-1959 and at the Air Force Academy from 1961-1967. We lived in Columbus Ohio in 1959-1961 when my Dad got his PhD at Ohio State. I was lucky enough to be in 1 place for Jr Hi and High School from 1961-1967. We moved to the DC area the week after graduation in 1967. I liked riding up to the Community Center to have lunch as a Senior.

Thanks for the update Mel. You have lived an interesting life. I too was on the blocking dummy team in football thru my Jr. year. Lost my 3 front teeth on the last day of practice (no pads) when a face guard got up underneath mine and sheared my teeth off. No more football for me. I've been in North Carolina since 1971 when I graduated from Va Tech. How long have you lived in Nicarauga? Oh, BTW, Happy Belated Birthday!

Glad to see that you joined the website. I had forgotten that we overlapped early. We were at the Academy from 1956-1959 and 1961-1967. My dad was getting his phD at Ohio State from 59-61. I don't remember going to school in Douglas Valley in 1959. We were only on base for 6 months before we moved to Ohio. I was in Jr. Hi at the High School in pine valley when we moved back in 1961
