Deborah Kirk Miller

Following graduation from AAHS, I attended Florida State University, graduating in 1973. I married an Air Force officer and we lived all around the country plus Cairo, Egypt and Jerusalem, Israel. I was a stay-at-home Mom until my youngest was in grade school and I entered Federal service. After working at the IRS, Federal Probation and Parole, and the National Fine Center, I joined the US Marshals Service in 1996, working at Headquarters in Crystal City (Arlington). Dutch retired from the Air Force as a Colonel and went to work for SAIC as a defense contractor while I continued my career. After living in Northern Virginia for the last 18 years of our careers, Dutch and I retired in 2013 to Mackinaw City, Michigan! We built our house on the shores of Lake Michigan, waking up to the crashing waves, fresh air, great tasting water, and no traffic! However, winters at the tip of the Mitt can be quite challenging! It is very quiet here, so when I need to get away and shop (or get away from the ice and snow), we head out visiting friends and family!!!
I have been blessed with 3 phenomenal daughters-in-law (Leigh Ann, Erin, and Kate) and 4 grandsons (Riley, Matthew, Dylan, and Forrest.)

Chemistry was not my forte, but Miss Carolyn Hurd made it bearable. I especially remember roasting hot dogs over the bunson burner!
