Lane passed away in March of 1992. He lived in Colorado Springs for a little while but then the family moved to California.
His parents moved back to Colorado Springs and Lane got accepted to UC Davis in Caolifornia.
He died in a boating accident while at school in 1992.

Taken from the UC Davis Alumni Pages:One major event occurring in 1992 was the passing of Lane Bridger in a boating accident, shortly after auditions. It was a difficult time for the squad, but his memory is still honored today with the Lane Bridger Award, which is given out annually to two outstanding members of the Cheer Team.
