Linda Henderson Hogan (1965) had two new books come out in 2020. A History of Kindness, from Torrey House Press and The Radiant Lives of Animals from Beacon (Boston). The first, a book of poetry received the Oklahoma Book Award this year, and was a finalist for the Colorado Book Award.  The Radiant Lives (Essays on Living in a Wildlife Corridor + Indigenous Philosophies)  has received much attention and kept her busy teaching on Zoom and giving readings.  She has a long history of writing & at 74 is still doing it happily.

First off, RIP Miss Trogden.

Secondly, some discussions have been going on about a 50 year reunion for the class of 1975. We thought the weekend of July 10-13 for the event. One day have time at Bear Creek Park to get together and then the next day have a tour of the school followed by a dinner at Patty Jewett golf course club house. If you have any comments, other ideas, anything else, please respond to this message. Love to see folks after all this time! Pete Nichols

Hi Pete. Very excited about our 50th reunion! Is there a way or a site to rsvp so we have an idea of how many will be attending? For everyone out there, if you have contact information for 1975 alums please let them know about the reunion. See you in July!

I've got info about the 50th on this site and on classmates-you are the only reply. Jeff was going to get on some contacts so I'll talk with him this week. This is not working as well as I'd hoped. I think as far as an RSVP form, we'll have to come up with something people would use on one of these sites. I'm open to other ideas if you have them! Looking forward to your class 'crying to get out of a speeding ticket'. Talk soon.

Greetings class of 1975,

It would be great to have a 50 year reunion and since I've moved back to Colorado if there's a need for help don't hesitate to ask.

James and David, Thanks for the notes. David, I'll look into that site. I don't do social media but I can always pass the buck to Jeff Mackey!

Hey Pete, I'm going to pass that info on the reunion to Kelly Parker who will put it out on the Facebook Alumni page. Any new info you want to include?

Hi Pete. You can text me at 520-850-3565. I've been thinking about ways to keep a count other than using my cell number. I could check with the Alumni and see if it's been done in the past and how they accomplished it. David and James its great to see that you'll be helping and attending the reunion!

Hello HHS Alumni! The Class of 1975 is holding their 50th reunion in Colorado Springs!

The festivities begin on Friday, July 11th starting at 10am at Bear Creek Park for ALL ALUMNI; Pete Nichols has reserved Pavilion #1. It’s a ‘Bring Your Own Food & Beverage’ picnic. The Park has a volleyball setup, basketball courts, and plenty of room for football, frisbee, playing catch; as well as horseshoes and corn hole. You just need to bring the equipment. Pete is bringing horseshoes!

On Saturday, July 12th at 11am there is a tour of Harrison High School for ALL ALUMNI. I encourage you to join us for this tour. I went on the tour for the 1973 reunion and had a wonderful, nostalgic time of it! It was so fun walking through the halls of HHS! You’ll be amazed at how many photos and records that are still on display from our time at Harrison!

Saturday evening at 5:30pm for the CLASS OF 1975, we will have a Classic Dinner Buffet at the Patty Jewett Golf Club Bar & Grille located at 900 E Espanola Street. Dinner will be your choice of Filet of Salmon in Lemon Dill Beurre Blanc & Rice Pilaf or Roasted Prime Rib with Au Jus and Rosemary Horseradish Cream & Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes - appetizers and dessert too!

Pete is working closely with the Sales & Catering team; please RSVP by June 15 so he can let them know how many to expect. The cost is $65 per person which includes the tax and tip. It will help if we receive the money with your RSVP in order to secure a deposit and final payment. The RSVP note has several questions - we want to know what you’ve been up to. So please answer at least 5 of the questions; we’ll have fun with this at the dinner on Saturday night. Look for the Invitation and RSVP on Classmates.com.

Friday evening has intentionally been left open should you want to make plans for dinner, a movie, dancing, Happy Hour, etc. with fellow alumni.

We’ve already heard from quite a few alumni who will be there and hope you’ll join us! Please pass this along so we can get the word out. We’re hoping for a great showing of the HHS Alum! We’re so excited to see you there!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Pete.
