Rest easy beautiful.
Debbie Trujillo Matthews
January 07, 1968 ~ February 14, 2022
Debra “Debbie” Trujillo-Matthews, 54, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2022 after a short illness.
Debbie was a loving wife, a devoted and caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and an exceptional friend and a one of a kind “bestie”.
A lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Debbie thrived in her career in sales, but she discovered that her true calling and proudest achievement was becoming a local military liaison. Although she never served in the military, she was a soldier in heart and spirit. As the proud daughter of a military veteran, Debbie made it her mission to serve those who served, and believed firmly in the concept of “leave no person behind”. She always made sure to let you know you were someone special and was always on call for those in need.
Debbie loved making memories with her family and friends, shopping, and traveling with her husband. She touched the lives of everyone she met and always left an unforgettable first impression. She was our “Angel on Earth” and her beautiful life filled with kindness and love will forever be cherished in the hearts and memories of her family and friends. She was truly “one-of-a-kind”.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Trujillo, a son, Bernard Romo, step-father, James “Jim” Boleman, and her sister-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Damron.
Debbie leaves behind her loving husband; Randall “Matt” Matthews, her mother Jane Boleman, daughters Catalina “C.J.” (William “B.J.”) Romo-Norris, Alia Trujillo and Marietta Young, sons Timothy Scott, Jr., and Isaiah Steinwand, brothers James “Jimmy” Damron and Michael (Turkisha) Trujillo, her sister Michelle (Aristead Jr.) Clayton, and her grandchildren Isaiah, Josiah, Jeremiah, Norris, Annaniah, Kameron, Serenity, Na’Yomee, Na’Yanna, Greyson, and Zahier, and many family members and friends she considered family.
