David Allan Esquilin - Colorado Springs Gazette - January 22, 1989 - David Allan Esquilin, 26, of Colorado Springs died Friday. He had been an auto mechanic for Southgate Amoco for four years. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Monday and from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Shrine of Rest Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shrine of Rest Chapel of Roses. The Rev. Harold D. Shoemaker will officiate. Entombment will be in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum. Mr. Esquilin was born Feb. 16, 1962, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Julio Q. and Florence E. (Callahan) Esquilin. He had been a Colorado Springs resident since 1972 and previously lived in Missouri. He graduated from Harrison High School and attended vocational automotive courses at the University of Southern Colorado and Pueblo Community College. He was a member of the Pikes Peak Baseball Association, the Quarterback Club of Harrison High School, and the Harrison High School Letterman's Club. Mr. Esquilin married Peggy Marie Hillman on April 2, 1983, in Colorado Springs. He is survived by his wife and his father; a daughter, Charlotte Renae Esquilin; two brothers, Carl Esquilin of Colorado Springs and Ramon Esquilin of Pueblo; and a sister, Maria Langhorne of Sierra Vista, Ariz. Richard Eiferd Jr (1980)

David is missed by many. His name always comes up at bbq's and other fuctions.

Helen R. Gest (Mayberry) (1982)

I always enjoyed hanging out with Dave and Peggy.  He always had a smile!!  His life was too short and his passing came so sudden.  A good man gone too soon!!

Holly Wade (1981)

Big Dave was a great guy.  Incredible baseball player but most notably a great guy.  He was always happy and had a great smile.  His life was cut way too short.  His parents were at all of his games and that was very impressive to me.  Good guy from a good family.
