Education, education, education!
Began as a K-2 teacher at Stephens College. Married and moved to KC where I was a child care director. I was lucky to be a stay-at-home Mom while my kids were little but when my oldest started preschool I had to do something and became an aide in a different classroom. That led me to becoming Montessori certified and a full-time preschool teacher. I continued this at Wichita Collegiate in Kansas. After we moved to Denver I taught in a parent cooperative while getting my master's degree. With an internship at a community college I was hooked and spent the next 20 years teaching early childhood education at the college level. Finally, I ended my career with 4-1/2 years at the Department of Education. Now, happily retired and spending time as a Colorado Master Gardener.
