Danny, other classmates made a suggestion that we combined with other years for our 50th reunion, I agree with you about us staying with our 1970 Jordan classmates. We actually had 91 this year (some we still did not have contact information on them) it was a great location/layout and lots of fun.

Just sharing my thoughts.......I had a great time at the reunion!  Many thanks to Janie and to her committee for the planning and hard work.  The venue was good for those who traveled and the space was suitable for a group our size.  I really liked the band, but after they started it was difficult to talk and visit..  Again, the music was good, but I was more interested in visiting with my classmates.  Danny, I agree with you re: keeping the group 1970 only and I love the idea of something at the school as a preliminary event to the next reunion.  What a great night.......and what great friends!

I have had several that have contacted me that went to school with us and would be in the graduating class of 1970 but had to drop out and finish at night school.  They really want to come to the next reunion.  What do you guys think about including them?  I think it would be fine.

Cherie Allgood (Duncan)

I agree with Roy. The band was great, but it did interfere with conversation inside. As far as folks that did not make it to graduation go, I absolutely think they should be included.  They probably worked harder than the rest of us to graduate. This last reunion was the best one I have attended since we graduated. You all did an awesome job. Thank you.

I just want to say that Kim and I had a wonderful wonderful time at our reunion. This has been the second one that we've attended and I must say that both of them are well worth the drive from Fort Worth back to Columbus.
I agree with keeping our reunion to just the class of 1970 and the ideal of having our of having it at Jordan is a great ideal.
I haven't been back inside since the mid 80s.
The only drawback is that the school board might not allow alcohol on the campus, then we could not have a bar.
Another thought I would like to put out there is, a few of us will be going to be in our 70's so maybe we should consider having our reunions every 3 years. Just a thought.
Kim and I will be coming back next year for a visit and maybe those who would like we could meet for lunch or dinner.
Take care my dear friends.

My DVD arrived today along with a refund check.  The enclosed note said "Due to technical issues, the finished video is not what was promised, Enclosed is a copy of what was salvaged and your refund."  You cannot see anything but a black screen. You can hear all of us talking  and a wee bit of the music. I was sooooo disappointed! I honestly believe he left the lens cap on.  Please DO NOT send your money in!

That's so dissappointing!  Sorry for all the trouble.  Guess we probably won't use him next time will we?

Billy, in response to your note about the reunion.  I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it.  I would like to also have the next one or at least one leg of it at the High School.  My brother had his there and said it was wonderful.  It'a s free venue I believe, just a small fee for clean up.  Maybe we can arrange that.  It sure would be nice.  Let us know several weeks ahead on this forum when you are coming back to Columbus and maybe several can make arrangements to all get together.  Take care!

I would be in favor of getting together every June 6. for dinner and or drinks There are a lot of us that are local.

Vickie Holland (Burch)

Well I'm not local but 100 miles doesn't matter.  Sounds good to me.  Let's check out when the next Rumble is and see if we can all get together then.  Janie, do you know when that is?

I tried calling Jim the video photographer to find out what happened. I left a voice mail and haven't heard back. I removed his ordering info from this site. I'm so sorry that it didn't turn out. John

Marie Culpepper Bruner Hi  We don't know the cost yet, but in March it was $15 advance and $20 at the door; included dinner of Clearview BBQ sandwiches, chips, sides, desserts and iced tea. If you prefer another drink, it is BYOB. Rumble is a chance to meet up with old (make that former) classmates, dance to a DJ's oldies, buy alumni items and maybe win at 50/50. All profit goes to the Alumni Association. Lots of fun and really great to see old friends. Hope you can join us.

If there is enough interest, we can set up some tables for our group.  It is hard to "find" classmates if we don't organize and set up tables.

Let's do it.  Table for our group sounds great!

The "1970 table" is a great idea.  Let's work toward getting that done!  Better yet....let's see if we can fill several tables.
