I could see the need for more school after I left Bishop Watterson but it came from the US Navy. Went to Hospital Corpsman school and excelled so they sent me to another school then another then to Vietnam where I grew up quickly. Found myself in the Mekong Delta, part of the Mobile Riverene Force. Remember the "boats" John Kerry served on? Those were Swift Boats. I was on the notso swift boats. Came home with a darker side which I treated by jumping out of airplanes and road racing motorcycles. When I returned in 1969, wife and I came back to Columbus. Stayed for the majority of the seventies then moved to Colorado for ten years then to northern idaho then to Oregon. This is heaven. It's all my "boys" have known. Ten plus years ago I brought my son Dan back to Columbus for Christmas. It was white and ice. Only memory that made it home was "White Castle".
